i know what will happen today

man city will wreck qpr ,but qpr will put up a gallant fight

stoke will make bolton look amateur, but bolton will battle and have passion

"but" we will only muster a draw

in truth our season died vs westbrom we all know it was our last chance and really we cant expect to win vs stoke and wont

football is a cruel game sometimes and this season it's kicked us when we were down hard!. Sadly the comeback from this will likely be long and painfull also

but

we can do it!

Stupid co-worker got himself arrested at Narita so I'm doing his shift, otherwise would be watching.

I guess it depends on the "injuries" to Steinsson, Mavies, Pratley and NRC but if they're all fit
i'd go with
Bogdan
Steinsson Knight Ream Ricketts
NRC Mavies
Lee Pratley Petrov
Davies
I don't think we'll see Pratley again this season.
I could be wrong though
You're probably right but if he doesn't figure tomorrow then it'll be 4 4 2 with Ngog and Davies up front
We need a finisher tomorrow, I'd start Klasnic instead of N'Gog.
I can see the temptation but it would mean no pressure on their cd meaning more time to pick a decent long ball.I suspect the line up will be the same as WBA except for the straight swap of Knight for Wheater. There is an arguement for playing alonso and moving rickets to right cd as Knight/Ream always play left and Ream is weak in the air but I cant see coyle doing that and of course Alonso is crap in the air and useless if they have a right winger who can run at him(theyre out tho arent they?)

It does mean they will have the freedom of midfield should they choose to mix it up a bit and will get at least 3/4 free kicks in very threatening positions from Mavis and KD mistiming challenges. Also with that midfield we will continually give the ball away and invite pressure onto us.

For me I'd love to see

NRC Vela
CYL Eagles Petrov
NGog

NGog would pressure their defenders reducing accuracy when they launch it,Vela would improve our ball retention and make us more competitive in midfield, CYL can combine well with Eagles and Eagles in attacking midfield can be more involved(he has been more dangerous than Mavis here for some time)

This would keep things tighter, take pressure off the knackered NRC , still give us a chance of grabbing a goal and would leave KD, Klasnic and Mavis available to come on fresh and have a decent impact when we need them to.

At best I'm hoping for a boring tight game until ten mins before the end when Klasnic comes on and a lucky Rick OShay bounces off someones arse and lands on his foot 2 yards out We then hold on inspite of Coyle deciding to bring on Sordell and CYL for the clearly tiring central defenders.

What I suspect will happen is an open game in which we will be outscored and our manager will again be made to look like a naive fool.

How can something we have little or no chance of influencing affect us so much?

That's great but there will be another 5 mins left (including time added on) for them to equalise. That would be worse!!!

Klasnic winner in 94th minute. Job done.......

This is utterly ridiculous. I've got a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, had it since 9pm last night (No it wasn't the chilli I had for tea). It's only a football match, win or lose we'll be here next year, the club will survive. I don't even mind if we go down, in fact I'm positively looking forward to Championship football, so why am I anxious, a little depressed and not looking forward to 3pm??

I'm very relaxed about this one. I kind of hope we win. Instinct says you want to stay up but should we go down i think next year could be more fun and more interesting than the last few. So hey it's a win win scenario, chill out!

Have felt way too confident all week. I think now that it's game day the nerves and reality of the task facing us today is setting in for me but i still believe we can do it. Hope the players and all the fans going to the game do us proud today.

For the last time this season COYWM!!!!!!!
