It's the Daily Mail. This is just a randomly generated story.Worthy4England wrote:Dawdley?TKIZ! wrote:Bolton are lining up a deal for Norwegian winger Dawda Leigh, 26, who is a free agent.

All their sports writers are out with pitchforks ready to defend our fields.

A google and youtube suggests his agent is flying a kite
He's not very good
He's not Nigerian, either
And he's a DMB
Nowt to see, imo

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
I thought another winger to fail to get even onto the bench was just what we needed.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
According to Wiki he signed a contract with his current club until the end of the 2012 season. Presuming this ends sometime soon, can this be an agent trying to drum up some interest from England. Good luck.

We've not seen much of Petrov since Freedman turned up. Maybe he's looking to replace one bencher/can't get on the bencher with probably quite a high wage tab, with another with a lower one...bobo the clown wrote:I thought another winger to fail to get even onto the bench was just what we needed.

And in the meantime, we do what with Petrov?

Dunno, but our new gaffer doesn't seem too keen on him. I guess it could be a case of whether he thinks he could unload him/pay him off/get the wage bill off the books etc.boltonboris wrote:And in the meantime, we do what with Petrov?
He's only made 6 starts this season, with 6 as sub.
I think I recall that his Contract was extended automatically (rather than by Coyle taking a good look at affordability) from last season because of his appearances clause.

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
It was.. By a year, I believe.
Maybe Freedman is trying to do away with a few of the senior players (of which Petrov is apparently one of the more outspoken ones).. Not that it matters, as a managers place isn't in the dressing room.

Just that, albeit his defensive duties aren't natural to him (tho the poor sod DOES try these days), he is far & away our best attacking option. We are already committed to his wages, so we may as wll be using him.

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
Using him more than Afobe anyway.
Petrov left, Eagles middle, Lee right. Not rocket science.
I'm wondering where Wylde has gone in all this.

Got a friend who is a Bury fan.
Looks like he's carrying a few extra pounds apparently. Didn't rip up any trees on his debut.
Don't think he's the saviour some fans make him out to be.

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
I don't think we think he's the saviour. I reckon we're all just a bit confused, and more than a little narked, that Coyle spent six months chasing him last season, telling us he was all that - and then the lad hasn't played at all.Loyal White wrote:Got a friend who is a Bury fan.

But then again, it's Coyle, so I shouldn't really expect any different.

Don't think so, Bish.
Silvestre is rubbish and has been for a good number of years now.
Pretty much since he left ManUre

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
Probably go for that if the wages were sensible. Give him a trial first, like.
