I would be astonished if we buy Dawson. Much more likely, for all concerned, is another loan - which won't happen till after the skywindow closes.

We might buy someone for like £500k or summat. In truth there's not much difference between that fee and paying somebody's wages anyway. If – and I don't know that this is the case - Andrews is on £20kpw and Brighton are only paying half of his wage, we're paying him £500k a year to not play for us (in order to save £500k).

I'd be astonished if we signed a Championship player in his thirties on that kind of money. Is that going rate?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

It wasn't too great a couple of weeks before Wembley, either. We have Johnny 'cnuting' Evans to thank for that one.

The sports science is nullifying them. We need more just to keep up with the broken toenails we are getting.

But the professional he has employed to manage is saying publically we are not strong enough.

I don't think he's getting told about all these brilliant players, the message seems to be we don't have a strong enough squad.

Now Eddie may not agree with that message. However, if that is the case he can go and find a manager who he does agree with.

Alternatively, he might think that the professional he has employed is just coming up with excuses.

He might but then that relationship wouldn't last all that long in that case.

That was what I meant by disagreeing. Eddie can if he thinks appropriate try to find someone who thinks our squad is plenty strong enough.

Just north of Hardupland, on the coast of Brokesia. You can get a ferry to Misertown once a week.

:conf: how did I manage to screw up a straightforward quote. Dementia must be setting in. I blame Dougie.

Dunno but it was That Mad Summer Period where we also doled out massive contracts to Knight, Ricketts and Mills.

wheater's contract... do we know if dougie reduced its value when he renewed it? or is it, too, a massive one? it's a new 3yr contract taking him up to 2016...

It was after much muttering about cloth-cutting and so on, and ISTR someone (Boris?) saying it was at reduced rates.

Think Nixon and the Bolton News reported he had agreed "reduced terms".
