Err, that's fine and dandy - as a player, I'd just cover the cost either in any transfer fee or in my ongoing salary asks...either way someone other than the agent or player will foot the bill...

Just as outrageous imo, the players don't pay their own union fees either. The Pfa and Gordon Taylors huge wodge is paid via the tv moneythebish wrote:is there a reason why clubs still pay agents? isn't it time the game sorted it out?? surely an agent works for the player - to get the player a good deal. the players are generally VERY well paid - so should be able to pay for their own agent - as - let's face it - the agent WORKS FOR THE PLAYER! maybe I'm missing something?

Careful, lets not set this off again. We had enough argument about the Stone of Scone for years. Lizzie eventually decided to let Scotland win in the end...throwawayboltonian wrote:What one Earth are you on about? Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Can we not close this bloody down now. All our troubles started when Plymouth started this transfer thread.
It should have been called "If Mr Bean did transfers.... this would be it".

So ... Trotter is our only player that is still being paid?

It is but mainly because people keep posting on it. It is like a turd that refuses to be flushed away and keeps floating back up to the top.plymouth wanderer wrote:malcd1 wrote:Can we not close this bloody down now. All our troubles started when Plymouth started this transfer thread.

Transfer thread, Malc. It's where transfer news goes.malcd1 wrote:It is but mainly because people keep posting on it. It is like a turd that refuses to be flushed away and keeps floating back up to the top.
Might be a bit pointless starting a new one.

Someone normally starts a new one when the transfer and loan window closes. I think you are right though, close this one and don't bother in the future.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Transfer thread, Malc.
