Good point. Injured? Or just another one we needed but didn't actually need!

I have no problems at all with us borrowing Brattan, as he was well-regarded in Australia and (crucially) City paid 100% of his wages. No risk at all for us.plymouth wanderer wrote:Injured? Or just another one we needed but didn't actually need!
He's been playing for the U21s: wasn't in the squad for this week's battering by Forest, but he played the full 90 in the previous three.
Maybe the fact he wasn't in the kids' squad this week indicates Lennon might be thinking of promoting him, especially with us playing Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday (the first two away) next week and the most recent formation of a wide 4-4-2 placing big demands on the central midfielders.
Or maybe I'm reading too much into that - he might just not be good enough or right enough for a kick/bite/fart battle for second-tier survival.

If he's better than what we got then play him! Surely that was the point in bringing him in? Or am I missing something!
Maybe...just maybe he'd had made a difference these last few weeks. But we'll never know unless we play him

If I recall it was said he wasnt match fit when he joined - presumably why he's been having run outs with the stiffs. As suggested above, I expect he should be thereabouts now, so presumably he'll play if deemed good enough - do you know whether he is better than existing or is it just anyone is ?plymouth wanderer wrote:StaffsTrotter wrote:whats the gripe he's costing nowtplymouth wanderer wrote:Andy Waller wrote:As an aside, what the hell happened to that lad we got on loan from City who was meant to be a world beater?

We wont know unless he play!! In our current run of form. Pretty much anyone is better than the crap this lot is churning out atm. I'd throw a couple of the the youngsters in for good measure aswell. (Thomas, woolery)

To be fair to Lennon, midfield last week was not the problem, and made chances for our muppets to miss.

The old saying " last one to leave the building please turn of the lights" of course that's if the leccy bill is paid.throwawayboltonian wrote:Staff departure: Andy Hughes has left our sinking ship for Rotherham.
I hate to see my home town club in this mess. Nice that all of my London glory hunting clubs friends have been considerate, without any jibes.

Mine too. I think it's a 'there but for the grace of god' mentality. Mind you, it's been barely reported down here so few outside my friends and aquaintances are even aware of the plight we're in.

Better job offer. Can't be blamed for wanting higher level action, good luck to him.throwawayboltonian wrote:Staff departure: Andy Hughes has left our sinking ship for Rotherham.

He's gone from a helper outer with the U21s to first team coach with the, errr, first team. Re: If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!
Wish I could say I was, old pal. I'm sure there was a Lennon quote the other night about Trevor Birch's possibilities and it mentioned "selling bits off" - perhaps not a verbatim quote, that, but it was something like that. I think the quote was on the BBC, maybe from his Radio Manc interview, but I can't find the quote now...Bruce Rioja wrote:Don't. Please. The offices could get sold. The hotel. Euxton. The new training centre where Aerospace was. But I doubt they'll build a wall along 1/3 of an end. If only because the area doesn't need another supermarket. Mind you ... if it was a Waitrose ....
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
