Are there any dissenters to SKD now having legendary status?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

We'll be lucky if we survive now.

While I would never question SKD's legendary status, I thought he was awful until he set up Holden. He didn't have a lot of succes in the air - as always against Samba and Nelsen - but every attack that wound up at his feet died an ignominious death.Lord Kangana wrote:Are there any dissenters to SKD now having legendary status?

Yeah, but...
Until? Plenty of the best players do f*ck all until. He's synonymous with the best times we've had in half a century.
Get back in yer corner. Grrrr.

Aye, including that one that ended up on his foot on our goal-line.

Has Ginola now given us the kiss of death with his comment?

Not till he's put up 6,000 posts.Lord Kangana wrote:Are there any dissenters to SKD now having legendary status?
It used to be 5,000 but, as I approached that mark noticed it's now 6,000. So he can get typing or can fck off. Idle twonk.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Usual comment from someone who rarely bothers to go.Lord Kangana wrote:I might add today was the first time I uttered "WTF are you doing Coyle" when he took Petrov off. He was looking a threat on the break.
Still, can't have it all and we won.
Petrov - great in attack, complete shite in defence - I'm almost with you LK in that he probably looked our best bet in a crap first half. But gives the ball away soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo often then never bothers his arse.

Yup - 6 goals, 4 from pens. Must be crap like Taylor.H. Pedersen wrote:While I would never question SKD's legendary status, I thought he was awful until he set up Holden. Taylor is playing as well now as he ever has for us, he looks fitter and more committed than he has for some time.Worthy4England wrote:Yup - 6 goals, 4 from pens. Must be crap like Taylor.H. Unfortunately Kevin did look slow and off the pace yesterday and his ball control in general was poor. I've just watched the full game again and other than his two "assists" for the goals and one header kicked of the line he did very little. But with those three actions over a combined total of less than a minute he won us the game, so how can we complain.

For the last half hour when he was up on his own he was absolutely fantastic. Played like 2 men.
Came back for every set piece and cleared Samba's header off the line.
The played a part in both our goals. And held the ball up when we needed to relieve pressure.

Have to say that was what I thought to at the time he took him off. He was actively ripping the left side up & was a real threat. Playing well & as he was hauled off I thought it was a wrong move.
No way of knowing of course whether it was or wasn't, but it's a fact that we went on to win & so Coyle wins the debate.
The difference with Coyle is that he makes the decisions & they seem to come off and they are generally attacking moves & so are positive in any case.
