The Season Starts on Saturday. Watford.

If I had to guess?

Petrov was slow getting out for Burnleys 'offside' goal

Half time row ensues

Petrov must be a frustrating one for the boys at the top.

We gave him a new deal at a reported £25k per week (reduced from 40). We're in the championship. Gartside must be tearing his hair out that he signed that off only for the manager to actually turn around and go, 'you know what? I don't rate him after all'

If we're worried about if we can afford fuel for coach travel to the match that is pretty fundamental.

Wish he'd just stick eagles in the center and get petrov back in. Quality wise I would say Petrov and Chungy are our best players. if we have holden and spearing sat behind those 3 we would have the best midfield in the division by a country mile (this is assuming stuey comes back like the player he was before)

With everyone back fit, i genuinely believe there is a formation out there that would make us piss this division, given the right coaching and work on defending.

Unfortunately i also genuinely believe that OC will never ever discover what it is and even if he did, couldnt get the players fit and disciplined enough to make it work like it should in order to be effective.

See! See! I told you all! That's it now. I can't see us losing again all season.

From what the radio was saying we rode our luck at points but generally we were in charge.

Made it hard for oursevles as per usual but it wouldn't be the Wanderers without a bit of nail biting would it?

Looking at the Prem I think it's a good job we came down. We'd have turned into mincemeat with this squad.
I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

... but we wouldn't have had this squad.

We'd have still has NRC at any rate.

So we'd have been fine !!

Plus, Holden would have recovered sooner, thanks to the muscle-repairing cytokytines that being in the premier league releases into the bloodstream.

Ahh yeah. So we would!

It all makes perfect sense now. And the Barclay's Premier League sponsored by Barclays badges are more ergonomically designed so our players would have been faster.

We'd have been fine!

The one change that must be nade is finding a way to get Mears out of the side. I know I started a separate thread on this but his "performance" on Saturday was diabolical. Can't cross - won't cross. Try and guess which way his man is going, get it wrong and then bundle him over to stop him. Absolutely f*cking clueless. If Joe Riley's not up to it I'd put Rickett's at right back with Alonso (who I know in't a full back but did OK on Saturday) at left back. I'd even try Tim Ream - he may not be a left back but he is (or was last season) quick which might make him able to make up for lack of positional sense. Also he won't have to head the ball as much which has got to be a bonus for him!

As posted elsewhere, Garty and Edwin must be scratching their heads that we renewed him on big money then 5 games in he's in the cold

Normally, I'd be surprised

So given the thread title, has the season stopped again?
