Bet he's been on Sky Sports 1 a few times.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

According to the offishul shite..... KD is a possible doubt for the game (concussion), Cohen is celebrating Yom Kippur, and O'Brien (Dara?) will start alongside Knight..... Interesting he is still bothering to mention Samuel and ricardo when discussing a premiership game...

Owen Coyle has confirmed that Andy O'Brien will step up to fill the breach at centre-half at Aston Villa with Gary Cahill suspended for the clash against his former club.

The former Republic of Ireland defender was thrown into the action at the Emirates Stadium last weekend when the Wanderers boss made a tactical reshuffle following Cahill's second-half dismissal.

And now O'Brien will earn his first start in Barclays Premier League this season at Villa Park.

Coyle said: "Andy O'Brien will come in. He had a terrific pre-season and was outstanding against Osasuna. If the truth be told then he was unfortunate to miss out in the opening game.

"I've got no fears with Andy coming in, like the same with young Adam Bogdan. We believe that we have players in the squad that are capable of playing at this level."

The Manager also revealed that several players are doubtful for Saturday's game, most notably Kevin Davies who has been sidelined in the early part of this week with concussion.

Coyle added: "Jussi Jaaskelainen and Gary Cahill are obviously suspended, while Sean Davis is injured and Joey O'Brien, Ricardo Gardner and Jlloyd Samuel haven't been able to train this week either. Saturday looks like it could be too soon for them.

"It's Yom Kippur this weekend so Tamir Cohen will miss out and we are totally understanding of his situation.

"And my skipper Kevin Davies hasn't trained all week. He had a knock to the head last Saturday in a challenge with Laurent Koscielny. He won't train today (Thursday) either and we'll have to monitor his situation in the remainder of the week.

"Because it's a head knock then it's of paramount importance that he is okay. It's great that we've got players who want to win football games and are passionate but I will not take a chance with any of my players' health.

"We'll give Kevin until the last minute but ultimately we have to wait and make sure that he is 100 percent."

If there was any footballer that sustained a concussion in a collision like that and went on to play the rest of the match, it would be SKD...

No concerns over Klasnic then? Be interesteing to see if He and Elmander get a run-out together

It would the logical next choice...no, scratch that, it's the ONLY choice if SKD's out. Rodrigo for the bench, I'd be very disappointed if Coyle threw Rodrigo in instead of Klasnic. At least until/unless Rodrigo scored his second...
Also be a chance to see who's our vice-vice-vice-captain. SKD out, second in command Cahill out, likely third in command Jussi out...Steinsson? Robbo? Petrov?

I'd wager it'd be between O'Brien and Knight. Although I'd personally give it Robinson, if only to anger the Arsenal fans further

The hierarchy is Davies>Cahill>Jussi so therefore it'd go to Petrov.

Why would he be next in line when he's just joined the team and not done much to make an impact so far? I can see the more likely possibility being Coyle giving it to Knight or Robinson.

And it certainly will be interesting to see what happens now that 'undroppable' Kevin Davies must be dropped. Will we finally see the long-awaited Klasnic/Elmo tandem? Is the Croat even fit and/or recovered from injury? He doesn't even get garbage minutes lately...I guess another option is some combo of three out of Blake/Taylor/Petrov/Lee playing as two wingers and a shadow striker although I'm not sure how effective that would be without KD as the target man.

Here's a stat to dash any hopes..

Aston Villa haven’t lost at home in the Premier League during the month of September since defeat by Chelsea in 1992. Autumnal.

He has nine goals in 34 games, and only about 5 starts. It's not bad. As ever if he stays fit he is a top top player. But he doesn't.

Klasnic? If Rodrigo has that kind of goalscoring record it certainly wasn't in the top flight of whichever country he was in, was it?
