The third red was in a game against Birmingham (after a second yellow).

That goes down as one of the worst decisions I've ever seen. Gardner was the one fouled right in front of the Bolton end and the ref gave it against him. Remember being absolutely livid.

Okocha scored a cracking volley at the far post but we ended up being beaten comprehensively 3-1. Pelted with coins and fireworks on the way out by the wonderful Brum fans too.

Made up for it a few years later I think with that last minute Nolan winner, following a masterclass in the lone striker role by Mr. Diouf!

Ricky G getting another run out tonight at left back against Scunthorpe United in a bottom of the table clash. Hopefully he'll help them turn it around. Also Danny Ward is on the bench for the Brentford game.
