I think it was a catch 22 situation, he needed championship level football to find his form, he wasn't going to get that here. At the time 4m seemed a good deal from our point of view, but now he's scoring in the prem again there seems to have been a revisionist view and we should have kept hold of him.
Would never expect that. Everyone knows what a useless tosser he was. Not that anyone would now say anything like "He needed the change of Club....it wasn't that he was shit, just needed a change of scene..."
