As the someone (perhaps) - explanation above... Feel free to read and respond rationally...
Don't get the logic. Don't change more than one defender? We kept a clean sheet tonight, why change any barring injury?
Fair enough if you think midweek away in the Carling Cup at Villa is equal to Arse away in the Prem.

And, tbh, you may be right.

But I think the earlier part of my post - Muamba and Reo-Coker - enough of a shift for one game, add to that Gardner on the left, then a new CB - for the first appearance in the league this season - and you have a real possibility of confusion...

Incremental rather than panic change is my choice...
I say with a squad system you give players a chance in games like tonight, if they take it keep em in. Villa away is considerably tougher than Norwich at home and Knight is consistently shite!
If on Saturday we were playing another game like tonight I'd be with you 100%...

I wish we were... Or playing Norwich at home after a result like this... There are times for adventure, and maybe, in this season, given their start, you are right - Arsenal away is one...

My mistake - I thought she usually went to this fixture.

Come to think of it - her absence may have already been discussed.

Either way, we'll have hundreds of reports in the national newspaper from the other side.

Arsenal were great, Arsenal were dire, Wenger said this, Wenger said that. Oh and Bolton were there too.

I went last year without thebish (he had another lame excuse ;) ) but its not the same. (And i take him, he's the old gimmer, not me ;) )

Would have happily written the match report if i had been going. The very reason i first came onto TW was because thebish wrote about me in a few of his :P

If we bomb 'em from the off, get the first goal we will win. Arsenal are dire at the back, but of course will give us problems when they attack. I can see us sneaking this by the odd goal; 8 - 9 to the wanderers. :pissed:

Only because they broke Mark Davies at 0-2, changed the game.

Didn't they score following the incident too?

Oh - and will people be meeting up for beers before the game? I'd imagine a fair few will be traveling down, and some will no doubt be commuting from around the capital too. I'm definitely up for a pint or 4.

im going now. Always like going to The Emirates.

No pub crawl in London though, Cans from the offie over the road from the ground is the norm for us at Arsenal. Saves spending a deep see diver on a pint in the ground.
Who's that coming up the hill boys,
The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,

Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....

I have a nagging feeling that we're going to play to Mertesackers strengths on Saturday, in the same way we do for Hangelaand every season.

Anyway, I'll guess........

Aye tom, stump davies will be bread and butter for mertersacker.

give ourselves a fighting chance, 451. no knight. no robinson.

what kind of message would dropping wheater and gardnerfrom a defence that kept its first clean sheet against reasonable opposition in a while?

we will find out a lot about owen from this...i will be very dissapointed if the 3 clowns get back in...
