Might be me seeing things that aren't there but are we preparing our players right?

Re: Another injury
From that list it looks like Alonso should be back very soon, Gardner's not a long-term one, Boyata could be back already and I thought Ricketts was very nearly returning.
So that's 4 back, 4 to go. And Riley's only young, he'll be back next week.

Re: Another injury
In fairness, most of the injuries that we've picked up have happened in matches.. Not early either, so it's probably not a case of poor training / warm up methods.

Re: Another injury
Probably
But
There comes a point when you start looking back and thinking would this have happened under fatman

Ricardo first started knacking his knees under fatman!
Re: Another injury
yeah, but, jesus christ, it's too regular to be all just "unlucky"
pissing about in trainin' , instead of taking knocks and bangs.
i remember andy walker being miles bigger once he were back , like he'd worked like feck not to reinjure the legs.
but that were under rioch , coyle'll have them pissing about playing table tennis thinking moving about quick within 5-10 feet will be enough.
although, stuart and lee are (or were until recently) in foriegn countries and nowhere near any of coyles mates. so maybe lesson learned.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Re: Another injury
so mr lock and them arent onto something ?
ie, that wierd or underpar or incorrect training leads to injuries they shouldnt be getting.
yeah , its speculative, but we are bottom (or near to it) looking like sammy lee's shitter brother is in charge, folk are gonna surmise various things.

Re: Another injury
I saw Ricketts get injured. It didn't look like it had much to do with our training methods from where I was stood.
I saw Holden get injured. Forgive me, but Johnny Evans doesn't train our players.
Surprisingly enough, neither does the Newport County fella. He injured Lee by the way, in case you thought he overstretched and broke his leg in several places doing so.
I don't know many broken legs, say that of Mears, being put down to the training ground. They might be, who knows, we've gone down the rabbit hole here, so why not?
In short, and not to put too fine a point on it, its bollox.

With LK and BB.
Ricketts- Achilles ruptured on a shit pitch. That ain't training.
Holden- Knee destroyed by that cnut- That ain't training.
Lee- Literally broken into pieces- That ain't training.
Mears-Broken leg. In training, but no evidence at all 'due to' training, other than letting Zat Knight train with a premiership team.
Boyata- Ankle fooked after stretching for wank Jussi pass. That ain't training.
Garnder and Davis both sicknotes. Unlikely is training.
Alonso- who cares? He's wank.
Coyle must have smashed a sack full of black cats into a mirror whilst stood under a ladder.

A fact quoted on a different thread. I think two of them played some sort of reasonable part last season?thebish wrote:in his post match interview - Coyle said we had 12 players unavailable through injury...
Physioroom puts us at 7 fisrt teamers.
Sean Davies - played three games partnering Nat Lofthouse.
Tyrone Mears - played no games for us last season, was a Championship clogger and unless they repair his leg bionically still will be
Ricardo - played alongside Sean and Nat. Plenty of people think he still has something to offer. OC tried to flog him, and if you're being serious you wouldn't have him on your "rely on every week to be fit" list
Sam Ricketts - Not a regular in the first team, started just over 1/3 of our games last season
Alonso - hardly a first team regular
Riley - Not a first team regular, 2 starts.
Boyata - Wasn't here last season, but give what looks to be OC's point blank refusal to play Steinnson, maybe there's a point here
N'Gog - (Not sure if he's still injured) been on the bench most of the time, 5 starts, subbed off in 4 of them.
Then we have Holden and Lee, who we undoubtedly miss. Both of whom started 2/3rd or less of our games last season.
I guess to that he's adding people like Vela etc. who have been given about 5 mins between them.
If everyone was fit, you'd say that Holden/Lee would probably start - but then again to do that, you'd probably be benching Muamba and Mavis?
And I guess he'd play someone (Boyata/Ricketts) instead of "this week's right-back who isn't Steinsson"
To me, we have two KEY injuries, that we bought cover for anyhow (NRC for Holden, Eagles for Lee?). Making the number much bigger over and above that, is just ducking the problem that it's a squad game, and smacks of "oh woe is me"
