I'm gonna go renegade and throw out the idea he isn't that shit, he is just nowhere near athletic or technically gifted enough to play as one of two central midfielders in this league. He'd have been 'good' under t'last bloke as one to break forward when we smash it forward. He makes decent runs that make space, he's just a bit shit when he gets on it.

Absolutely. The fecking drivel being spouted on here actually needs to be seen to be believed. Tell William to point those Pikeys in the direction of Euxton

There's a fine line between shit and "nowhere near athletic or technically gifted enough". Very fine. So fine, in fact, that the naked eye might have trouble spotting it.

Let me add that he has also played, equally ineffectually, in a midfield five this season, so we aren't just judging him on whether he's the new Stu.

I think his best position is probably in that space - the "hole", if you will - behind the counter at McDonalds, just in front of the chip fryer.

Blind faith? I admire you, and I wish I could join you. All the evidence, however, points towards an unfortunate, early and pathetic Premier League demise for us...

my fairth in bolton isnt blind i truly belive we have what it takes to survive honestly we have been poor in every game bar 2 so far that ive seen

we played well vs city
we hammered a tired stoke

really we are to weak centrally and allow anyone to walk on through and with the quality players most teams have they only usually need 1/2 half chances to score so its no wonder were conceding so many Simply if we fix our defence we fix our season, we need to take a hard look at coyle but i still dont think replacing him is the option best suited to us personally id have a experienced defensive coach/merc come in and be assistant to coyles attacking style for a while it could be just what we need who knows.

not really sure about phil brown though
