My opinion: Keep the 4-5-1 / 4-3-3 hybrid and stay solid. Stay patient and hit them hard when we get the ball.
Oh hang on, I've got confused. I mean
This.

I'd just like to point out that the runes say we is doomed. Really doomed.
But beyond that, Steinsson back in and same team as against Liverpool if possible, please. No tinkering.
Still doomed, obviously.

I see the 'Best Referee In The World' is taking charge of this game.

Webb
You'll be pleased to hear Clattenburg is the 4th official though.

Perhaps, for the full house, we could have Mike Riley and Barry Knight as "Referee's assistants"?

Only if Uriah Rennie is allowed to sit on the Bolton bench !!Lord Kangana wrote:Perhaps, for the full house, we could have Mike Riley and Barry Knight as "Referee's assistants"?
Christ Almighty, how many booking & sending-offs will this lead to ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Apparently Mike Dean may be match adjudicator, just to see fair play of course.bobo the clown wrote:Only if Uriah Rennie is allowed to sit on the Bolton bench !!Lord Kangana wrote:Perhaps, for the full house, we could have Mike Riley and Barry Knight as "Referee's assistants"?

Eagles had an absolute stormer against Wigan at the DW.
Same team as Norwich. Simples. Substitutes with pace / finishing prowess available if required.

Re: BOLTON v THE PIE MEN
As others have said keep the same starting 11 as at norwich unless steinsson is fit. We were doing ok up to 55 mins and that starting 11 has done well in the previous games. It may be helpful for players to know who is playing and what system they are using rather than switching around personnel like we did up to christmas.I'm not convinced that NGog is suited to playing as part of a front 2 . Infact I'm not convinced any of our strikers can work as a pair(sordell being the great unknown)
No point putting m Davis back on the wing or in centre mid,he only has one effective position. If needs be put some attacking subs on after 70 mins, even go 442 if necessary but keep moo and NRC on because we might need to have the ball in order to win the game.
NGog may not be a natural goalscorer but before Norwich he was at least allowing us to get some possession in the final third,Sordell might be able to do the same job and offer more of a threat,Klasnic/KD cant

Re: BOLTON v THE PIE MEN
I think we'll win but we all know how scrappy Wigan are. Their players fall over the ball and do blatant obstruction techniques in order to keep the ball so it doesn't surprise me if this will still be 0-0 after 60 or so minutes. If that's the case, I suggest we sub a midfielder, one of the defensive ones like Muamba and bring on a striker.

Re: BOLTON v THE PIE MEN
Apparently Ream, Sordell and Miyachi all played in a 'behind the scenes' reserve match against Preston. Bolton won 1-0 with Miyachi grabbing the winner. Wonder if that puts him in the squad for Saturday.
Re: BOLTON v THE PIE MEN
same set up and level of performance as against Liverpool and Arsenal will do me fine.
Who's that coming up the hill boys,
The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,
