However we do have a squad good enough to get promoted, unfortunately what we don't have is a manager capable of improving us or getting the best out of this group of players. I don't think the players actually believe in Coyle, and that's a worry. I know its been said constantly but he needs to get the team organised tactically, and at the same time he needs to improve the intensity, work rate, energy and overall fitness of the side - we need to start competing for 90 mins not just 10-15 mins.

Very little if anything has improved on the pitch under Coyle - we still play the same type of low intensity, hoofball football that we did when he joined. I'm quite sure that if we had a tactically aware switched on manager with 1 or 2 decent coaches to help, they would get this team promoted - under Coyle though I doubt that we will even be top 6 this season.

We play the same predictable way, and make the same predictable mistakes week after week - but Coyle and his coaches don't appear to be able to change / improve anything.
Totally agree,
Harry Redknapp
These players need to know who is boss and what is expected of a professional footballer,
I have seen us play portsmouth, burnley and forest and the whole set up has been a disgrace, very poor level of football etc

Is that a suggestion that we go for Harry Redknapp? Aren't we in enough financial peril already?

We'd be challenging Derby County levels of spectacular Premier League shiteness.

yes, imho we are in a serious mess and we need someone who will sort this bunch out.
Paying a couple of million for redknapp to get us into the play offs would be worth it, OR I see us being in the bottom 6 and possibly going down and out of business.

A couple of million? For Redknapp? That wouldn't even get you his dog Rosie.

Anyway he's far too busy with his fantasy football and such lark.

Someone who would answer the phone for a start.

Gus Poyet, off the top of my head. I don't want a organise them make it shit to watch type. I could handle that in the Prem, but with the players we've got, properly organised we should be beating teams at this level. Someone who'll get them looking like they know what they are doing at the back, and will pick a side with balance to let our ball players do their thing.

Id argue Poyet and his side and all that setup down there at Brighton are on an upward curve, in a much better state than we are.

I cant suggest alternatives, Ive not got the knowledge of the goings on at different clubs in our division and below to suggest someone up and coming who would come here and do a job.

All I ask for is a manager who makes our team look like its had a decent, hard working training session in the last 18 months or so, and someone who sends his players out looking like they might have analysed how the other team might attack them, and worked on how we might have a go at them in return.

In fairness to Redknapp he took Spurs from bottom of the league to champions league spaces in 3 seasons spending about 90 million over the course of the 4 seasons he was in charge. Owen Coyle took us from bottom... to an embarrassing cup semi final against Stoke and then to relegation and with most of our transfers going down as Undisclosed its hard to put a number of the money we've spent but it's got to be around 30million
