@OfficialBWFC: For those asking, Holden was able to run off unaided down the tunnel. Update as and when we have it. (38) 0-1 #BOLvEVE

And on a brighter note

@OfficialBWFC: Goal! Bolton level! Mix-up at the back. Touray and goalkeeper Springthorpe all over the place! Iliev smashes home! (41) 1-1

Very worrying, also like Bobo says you have to ask questions about what he was doing out there. 3 minutes? maybe it's a just a soft tissue injury strain due to being out a long time, fingers crossed.

I often think our luck and that of Holden are inextricably linked. So many might-have-beens in the past few years. A privilege to watch when he was good, but heartbreaking recently.

But if anyone in the football world has the sheer drive and determination to overcome, its our yank. So lets all think nice thoughts for him.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I think it's a bit poor to question what the club was doing, they obviously make them do proper drills before hand. It could be his legs are just not used to the exertion?
Pfffft.

J Evans ruined a club and ruined a career.

I'm being mildly facetious.

That's what I meant about the soft tissue thing. I think it's reasonable to question when he goes down so quickly, nobody is jumping to conclusions or criticising as far as I can see.

18 months ago it would have been entirely the clubs fault.

Naturally, I'm being exceedingly facetious.

I think back to the Owen Hargreaves video he did, doing all those exercises showing how strong his knees were, and yet when tested properly in a game were just never the same again.

Game over I think - poor Stu

A match situation is completely different to anything you can simulate in training.

Knee injuries are notoriously difficult to recover from and sadly down the years there are plenty who like Holden haven't managed to return.

Hows about we just wait and see what transpires?

Yup, lets wait, but I have a sickening feeling in my stomach about this.

Game over I reckon.
As a club we cannot afford to pay the lad unless he plays and the treatment must cost a wedge or two as well.
Gutted for him, really am, the lad has the right spirit and attitude and its so feckin sad that DMB ruined a potentially good footballer.
Good luck stu, all the best mate.

Just got back from Reebok, didn't look good for Holden, was troubled by his knee after only a few miutes, was obviously under orders not to get too much involved tacklewise but was in pain after one semi serious shot and then went down with no one near him.
I feel reborn !!!! No more confussion

Went to the game just to see Holden.

Could see him getting injured before the game even started. I felt sick seeing him go down twice with nobody near him.

They say he walked off down the tunnel, didn't he manage to walk off for the US after his last injury too?
