my vote would go to Mills - consistently solid and reliable over a longer period & more games than anyone else, (overlook the occasional distribution lapse given hes being asked to quarterback 40 yard passes).

bogdan good since come back, as has knight and wheater. Duke has had biggest impact and therefore gets the most promising newcomer award (altho still not sure he could keep that up over a longer period).

Biggest disappointment - the season/ dougie; playerwise baptiste/ holden

We're about to finish 14th and the top three would be made up of loan players. Also, just about everybody has had a long period of being out of the side with only three players (Spearing, Ream and Baptiste) starting more than 30 games.

All things considered, it'd have to be the Juke.
I'd imagine it will be a muted affair.
I think it isn't being held but the one after we'd been relegated earlier in the day was somewhat sombre. Got really really pissed though.

They're clearly not aware how much street cred they'd get wearing a Tim Ream facemask.

They're all more than happy with their Prufrock running tops.

The kids know their football.

Right choice IMO.

You seek out concurrence anywhere you can find it. :)

There isn't a player of the season for me. Not one has done well enough for long enough. I'd probably have ended up giving to Tierney had he not got crocked and carried on as he had been doing. Alas, that is of course simply hypothetical though.

Sadly, It's not practical, but I'd have liked to attend the Supporters' awards on 29th April. I think a fair number of our squad have either improved upon their performances through this season, or applied themselves well during difficult times.

It's not lost on me that some of us Wanderers are far from happy with the team, but I don't think it's fair to suggest that none of our players are worthy of some acknowledgement for their efforts.

Call it tallest dwarf if it pleases. However it's labelled, it's disingenuous to suggest that none of the squad have given of their best throughout the season and merit some credit.

Whilst I appreciate it's of no consequence and many will wish to rubbish the fact, our last 56 league games amassed 81 points; scratch out one ten game run from that period and the points tally over 46 games is 76, a playoff place in any season since the Championship started.

I'm still hanging on in the hope Ferguson will come out of retirement and lead us to consecutive Champions League victories.

I think if I had to pick a player of the season it would have to be Bogdan, I think he is shaping up into a very good keeper (still makes the odd error but what keeper doesn't). He has had to play with a shocking defence in front of him for most of the season. His head did not go down when losing his place and IMO think he has come back a better keeper.

As for the rest Ream has improved immeasurably and I think is looking more comfortable at CB, still think he would make a very good DM though. Mills has improved I would have got rid in a shot at the beginning of the season last 10 games he has looked a much better player. Juke on loan like most loan players he is busting a gut as he wants to play (good quality these days), I would have him over Cravies.

Not one single player stands out as being a worthy recipient of the accolade 'Player of the Season' to me. Some have put some effort in? You'll be asking them to kick the ball next.

It's early days yet, lets not rush into things.

I think we need to get the kit issue resolved first. Once we can settle on one that everybody is happy with, then we can do some work with the ball.

Now then fellas, just popping over from the Boro forum for a few quick questions on Lukey Jukey. I see he's being put forward by many as your player of the season, and is obviously rated very highly but is this just because of his goals or his all round play or what? He's never been that effective for Boro unfortunatley but seems to be doing brilliantly for you guys, how have you been playing him? Maybe you could send Aitor a few tips haha! Cheers guys

Jutkiewicz is a solid enough player but the positive impact he had on the team coincided with us playing a more suitable formation. Him as a lone striker doesn't work and he still needs a partner, hopefully someone more potent in front of goal than Mason. He's a solid enough striker, and I'd like him here next season, but if it can't happen, he's not irreplaceable just like Mason isn't either. Neither of them are exceptional players so if we got both back, that's fine, but I wouldn't be too upset if neither could happen.

Hopefully we start next year with two strikers though. That is a necessity.

..... & the player we paid £1m for in October after chasing him down ? The, for all the criticism, is our top scorer despite missing several games ?

Does he fit anywhere ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
