As well as Amos has done, given our loanee problems I'd be sticking Lonners in and an U21 on the bench until Boggers is back.

From the way Lennon's been bigging up Amos, I suspect he's looking to sign him at the end of the season, presumably with the aim of getting some dosh for Bogdan. (Bogdan's contract isn't up this year, is it?)

Edit: Oh, Bogdan's contract is up. I'm sure people were talking about Bogdan as being one of our few sellable assets.

Aye I know, would be harsh on Amos, but needs must until we get some bodies back. No point "spending" a loanee on the keeper when we've got a perfectly good one back from injury.

It does look likely that amos will be signed and first choice next season and bogdan looks likely to go . If he's backing amos it makes sense to play him until the loan is up and we look properly safe . After which the extra loan spot gives some flexibility .
The implication seems to be that amos somehow makes the defence more solid than Lonergan did . If bogdan is definitely off you'd expect Lonergan to be playing for a contract as the season ends . If he plays bogdan than just maybe the talk of contract discussions has something in it .

Can only assume he's worried about cravies and Heskey being fit to play 90 mins . At least cravies gives us potential impact from the bench . Better to have 30 mins at full pelt against tiring defenders I guess . A gudjohnsen hat tick would be nice . I can't see him being kept on next season as a player but would love to see him do something memorable before he bows out .

3-2-1.......Off.
Quick start for us and a corner in seconds. Bannan and....McC and cleared. Lively sounding first few minutes. Commentators in chatty mood and we get a visit but Walker clears and....more chat about jigsaw puzzle league and we get a throw to take twice. Now free kick to them and....Ford the keeper and.....they visit but we clear. Bannan, wins a free kick, Ref actually getting a good word and.....and....they grab it and....and.....a chance for them isn't taken advantage of and we waste a free kick...or something....

Bit a chat about Whisky leagues then.....we set off via Feeney and....Alf lobs one at the keeper. And we go again. Bit of possession that goes backwards then we sally at them. Feeny should have got a free kick...didn't and it ends back with Amos. And.....ALF......1-0 :oyea: :oyea: :oyea:

Now the Wallers sally, but we recover it and sally right back at them. Good defending from them clears the lines. Bannan, Ream.....and they get a free some 25 out. And...and..........and.....the wall blocks it and Bannan clears. Feeney gets praise as the mic men sort out our team for next year. Meanwhile, back at the Macron ....some to and fro before Veal blots his copy and gives one away. Bannan, Walker, Danns.....and wins a free. Walker getting the good words. And.....and......it gets cleared. We go again and Walker gets praise as Eidur gets a first mention.

Free for offside to them and....man says we're "head and shoulders above the Wallers" and Walker's making a good impression. More news from around the world before McCarthy loses out and they sally, bit of excetement and.....Amos claims it. Here they come and......there they go.
