Tango, for clarity, the BBC are reporting the result as 1-1. But thanks for the commentary.

Were all the flashing lights in the second half some sort of a protest, or was it just boredom?

The club Twitter reckoned it was for Mavies' return. Find that hard to believe, myself.

Well, if I've seen a worse game this season then I've managed to shut it from my mind. Match Buddy did one at HT and, up until Mark Davies coming on, I wished I'd joined him. Have we really offered Mat Mills a new deal? I can only hope and pray that he turns it down.

That flashy light bullshit was just annoying. Mavies sub return was impressive however. Nice to see one if our own contracted players do well. Heskey did well when he came on and ALF and Bannan played well. Highlights of the evening were the free salad buffet at the harvester and the 90s music in the Victoria and Albert afterwards. They also had my house keys which I left there on Sunday. Bonus.

For what it's worth, Tower Radio P.W. I basically just relay what the commentators are saying as best I can.plymouth wanderer wrote:Tango, what station do you listen to?

Mic man said something about it being for charity, but I wouldn't put money on it.Nicko58 wrote:Were all the flashing lights in the second half some sort of a protest, or was it just boredom?

Who is this M. Davies fellow?
Re: Charlton at ... (yawn)... home.
Have we no kids that we can call defenders? We should bin off the fecking lot of them and anyone defending people like 'Regularly Reamed' and 'Derelict Mills' needs to take a long hard look at themselves!

23 shots and only 2 on target suggests two things to me ; -
i. There was an agreed policy of 'shoot on sight'.
ii. We're crap shots.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

This has happened in almost every game since Xmas, we always start the game very flat with the players not interested, opposition score early on - we come out 2nd half & step it up and play much better. I actually can't recall a recent game where we have started the game at a quick tempo all guns blazing, we continually start slowly and give the opposition the early momentum.throwawayboltonian wrote:Seems like we had a crap first half, and a pretty good second. I unfortunately missed TD's commentary due to illness, but reading over the report today it seems like I'm inclined to agree with Lennon; our finishing isn't clinical enough when we need it to be. The beeb have us at 23(!) shots and only 2 on target, with 60% possession. I imagine most of that was the second half but I'd expect more than 1-1 with those kind of stats.
He's waxing lyrical about Alfie though, wonder if he's hoping to capture him in the summer.
There is clearly an attitude problem with some of our players....I've actually thought watching the recent home games, that the likes of Feeney & Vela look like they are actually sulking, playing with their heads down.
Great to see M Davies back, quality player pity that we don't have many more, injury prone or not we need a couple more players of a similar quality .
Mills, Feeney, Danns, Dervite, Vela, Walker not for me next season....the two youngsters perhaps from the bench but not the starting eleven - that's if we are to improve and move forward.

Harsh on Walker. He's been asked to play in about 27 different positions since breaking into the side. He's done well for me. Not spectacular, but certainly enough to suggest he has a good future

I can now get GMR on the Smart TV ... 719 on Free view .... which gives me the Jack Dearden commentaries. Which is odd as you can't get that on digital channels on the radio (or couldn't, maybe I could recheck).
I realise you need to be set for this region but secondary regions can be selected too. Who knows if the techies amongst us can make something of this.
