Most of that stuff was in the previous Accounts and some of it has been in the Accounts for years. I don't think anyone didn't know that Eddie wanted out.

Re: Worried!!
I'm on my 4th reading of it so far and am wondering whether it is in fact the wrong story but it's so big it's hiding the real one on the front page.
Is Mr Bonnar up for the annual Niton prize for dropping hints about f'call ?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Meanwhile, Trotter is still on the books, which I DO consider to be worrying.

Re: Worried!!
Have you taken the first letters of each line or perhaps the first letter of each word of the second sentence? There must be something cryptic in there. Either that or just a slow news day and they wanted to sell a few more papers.bobo the clown wrote:I'm on my 4th reading of it so far and am wondering whether it is in fact the wrong story but it's so big it's hiding the real one on the front page.

Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

Jesus, is that it?!
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

^^ There'd have been a much longer response if it'd had mentioned him.

Re: Worried!!
so it would appear the revelation was the 'first on-the-record admission that without Davies’s backing the club simply could not sustain itself at its current level'
http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... the_field/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
perhaps its all a bit deep for me. makes me ponder what our level is, what a level is and the generally acknowledged correlation between the level of a club and the depth of their owners pockets/ backing?

Re: Worried!!
^^^ It must be a really quiet news time. "Bolton are in debt, owed to owner Eddie Davies who says he's looking to get out".
To have this as a big build-up item for two days can only be the marketing precursor for a more solid step which, in honesty, can only be a good thing.

Unless the venkys are selling the dingles in order to buy a better club.
Re: Worried!!
I think this sensationalist news item was created purely and simply to distract us from the fact that David Dunn is signing up.

The selling of the car park in order to build a cake factory supports this.Jugs wrote:I think this sensationalist news item was created purely and simply to distract us from the fact that David Dunn is signing up.

Re: Worried!!
So, without ED, what level can be sustained?
Clearly wages of £26m can't be sustained unless we were filling the ground each and every week. How can our wage bill STILL be so high long after relegation. There are very few players from the Prem era still on the books, so why?
Either we have far too many people on the pay roll, or are still paying over the odds to recently joined players.
