Re: Saddling up Saturday
Our last four home league games have all ended 2-1 - two of them wins, two losses...

Iles: "Spearing put the ball back in, Le Fondre was near it but didn't claim. Assume it goes down as an OG"

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Spearing off a deflected heel but that matters not. O'Connor credited with an o.g. Here we go again and...mic man and Zico still arguing about that Oz goal, fluke versus good goal. Free kick then and.....some scores and....and...Wheater clears and a shot from them does a Wigan. Throw us now and....some more scores then Taylor get a throw and launches one and....keeper punches...we come again and....Spearing, Wheater and back home.....and we score again......3-1 from...TROTTER,,,,,,

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Mic man and Zico going bananas in the box and Alf and Vela get amongst it. Trotter larruped one apparently and now they try a free kick con, but the ref favours us....And now.....Wheater hits one and......whew....crowd making a right racket now.

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Iles on our second goal: "Spearing's corner was headed towards goal by Madine, then off the line by Edwards, but Spearing put the ball back in and it ended up in the net. Whether Le Fondre got a touch, or a defender is unclear. Spearing half-claimed it. O'Connor getting the credit from the Press Association, who usually have the deciding vote."
third goal: "Brilliant finish from the midfielder - top corner from the left edge of the box."
And now we've got David Wheater curling free-kicks just over. It's all gone a bit weird.

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Somewhere mic man and Zico will shut up and commentate (nah, no chance of that) And we go to Gigg Lane.....unfortunately. Morais, Vela, and another corner us. Mic man reckons the Saddlers can't cope with our pace...
Morais now, throws to Vela....Madine, Vela, Madine again and.....Vela over runs it. Gola kick them.

Iles explains that Madine header: "Header was from far out. Penalty spot ish. It sailed over the keeper's outstretched hand, bounced off the post, and then over the line. Took a while. Nothing wrong with the header."

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Must be a lot on site as it's taking time to get through to post. Bury have scored so we'll be going there, but first we win a throw.....no, Gigg Lane it is then. Right, back here and.....we press again and sound to be all over them. Nice time for Alf to put it out of sight....Madine, does well and now we have a throw. And....some mic chat then....they get a free kick. Ben now and sets us off and Morais and Derik get mentioned before the visitors get a free kick near their box. The sally forth via Chambers, Osborne and....Ben steps up and grabs it. Etteridge clears, a bi of a mix up then O'Connell/ O'Connor? sp? ...Mic lads mithering about this and that then Ben wallops one and....Alf hits one at the keeper. Spearing nods one out for a throw with half-time approaching fast.

Re: Saddling up Saturday
They come at us and make a poor back pass and lose it to us. Mic lads laugh insanely about Scrabble, then Zico reckons the Saddlers are the worst side we've seen here....Madine and....again and..we lose it and Trotter does well.......and it's 3-1 us at the break.

Re: Saddling up Saturday
You should hear the re-run of the commentary as the mic lads went manic. Crazy..
Am I being greedy wanting an ALF goal in his first real game for us? Oh, okay, call me greedy. All we need is not to concede in this 45 and the rest is immaterial. COME ON, let's get a couple of teams looking over their shoulders.......
Here we go with part two.

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Chat about this and that, an advert for Ramsbottom Kitchens, more chat between Gary Henshall, Pricey and Zico then...players not out yet (somebody tell em the rugby starts at 4-50...)

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Not sure what the delay is? Is one of the officials suffering from brain strain...(mic man's question) then more chat and.....a liner has had to retire from the scene apparently and be whipped off for medical treatment, and a sub "warms up"....still no play yet and....ah, the players appear, eventually.

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Right then. Much amusement in the mic box at a replay of their reactions to Trotter's goal. Still all warming up at 4-20 and the crowd in great voice. We go.....

Re: Saddling up Saturday
Under way and we're playing from right to left?
Useful info on radio that.
Beevers almost puts them in with a soft chance as he slips but we get away with it. The Oz lad tries one, we clear and Madine has a rant at the ref and gives a frw kick away. We go to Gigg Lane.....to no change...
Vela does well and sets Derik off. Madine getting good words from mic man and then Morais, Vela, Taylor fires one well over from 25 yards. They sally at us and .....a bit of vhat then they come agasin and....win a corner. Oztumer (got it) and Madine clears. Morais goes and....Taylor, Trotter, Beevers and....a goal kick them. Aplause for the passing of a fan thenSpearing breaks them up and we go forth...too long.
