Struggling to give a shite if I’m honest. Amazing what a few league wins does for your priorities at this level.

I think it's going to be a close game, but we should just have enough to beat them. Anyway, early brew time.

Think i'd go along with this. If it meant binning this off for a few more league wins come then end of the season then i'd be all for it. As it stands though there's no guarantee that will be the case so lets go and get a win.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 3:11 pmStruggling to give a shite if I’m honest. If we managed to get a big team in the later stages of the cup and get a good financial windfall that led to a big signing then I can see the need for progressing in the cup, but that may never come to be.
I'm just hoping we win to maintain a winning run.

Weird innit. If we had lost the last two then this would be a must-win, and a cupset could cost Evatt his job. Now, it's sort of... OK.
I wonder how many of this forum's members would take a loss at Stockport to have a win here, were it definitely one or the other. Maaaaybe one or two.

Indeed. It would've been three defeats on the bounce, staring down the barrel of another embarrassing cup performance like we had against Villa U-21s.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:07 pmWeird innit. Don't think that losing would make a blind bit of difference here. It would just be another game.

I’d swap it for one league win - would have been enough last year!! If only it were that simple. Anyway no replays which as bad for the cup that is it suits us today.Mar wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:02 pmThink i'd go along with this. The Welsh Wizard, aka Pembrey Potter spanks one in from the free kick.

Schon booked
Seems regular that, he’s presumably nearing a suspension

1-1. Liam Gordon, of course.

Keith Hill states what we all say, "A simple free kick that should've been defended better",
Liam Gordon volleys it in 1-1.

Well, it's 1-1 thanks to ex-Wanderer Liam Gordon.
Always interesting to see ex-players scoring, almost as if to say 'you were wrong to let me go'.
Hopefully it'll count for naught, but we need to score again.

Can someone more conversant with the rules of the day remind me whether there are replays at this stage?

Would genuinely rather we stuck one in our own net than play another 30’mins today

Thought he was reasonably decent going forward, plenty of pace. Defensively suspect though.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:19 pmHaha Liam Gordon

Yes - I couldn’t care less about this. The critical game is next weekend.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:22 pmWould genuinely rather we stuck one in our own net than play another 30’mins today
