Weird how one of them NEVER gets dropped, or subbed, no matter how shite they play, all the time.
I don't think Robbo is as disastrous as most people seem to...

I do think Retrov is a defensive vacuum...

I think we are fortunate to have Ricardo fit and must use him where he can do the best job for a team that could do with even a DRAW to end this hideous run... Which - for the TEAM is in front of Robbo...

We have had the best money can buy thrown at us in the last few weeks. I'd like to see how we are defensively during a run of more reasonable games before the firing squad is issued with ammo.

So did Norwich recently, they didn't look as unorganised and shit as we do.

Norwich played Man U and Chelsea and lost.

They'd have not done any better if they had been faced with the run of games we had.

We were 2-0 down with 11, and hadn't had a shot on goal...

No doubt we had a bad first half.

But a man down, 52% possession, 7 shots on goal to their 5 and a dominant second half suggests it may not be complete doom and gloom against non top 6 opposition.

I'm far from writing us off yet. Still very disappointed with our start - we seem to go missing for periods in games and then show up after the damage has been done.

We could stick to facts here. We've played 14 halves of prem football and looked totally clueless for 12 of them. Not "we've played great, but just come up against much more expensive players whose class showed through", not even got the basics right. Team selection, team organisation, first half performances, all not good enough at the moment.

don't buy the down to 10 men crap, even with 11, there were no fire in the belly. Its not the results, its showing that we can compete with the rest of the non-top 6 contenders. Which wasn't display in the last run of games we had.

Only you didn't really, did you? :)

I'd opine that we've been not "totally clueless" for 5 halves rather than 2. Arsenal aside, I'd agree with the first half performances being not good enough and as far as team selection goes I am not sure what our best centre back pairing or indeed midfield is. Used to be that you could pretty much nail down 9 out of 11 starters down - you'd be lucky to get 6 right at the moment. This needs sorting sharpish, as does the formation.

You can't have Chelsea second half. 'Pissing about' doesn't come close.

We've been shit though. Norwich I'm convinced he just picked the wrong team. If he picks the right one against Wigan, I think we'll beat them. If he doesn't then, we're in trouble. Lose there and it's not good.

It's a start. I can only think of second half against QPR and second half against Norwich, where we looked anything like. Unsurprisingly, second half against Norwich we ran out of steam, so I never actually thought "we can win this"...

I just don't think it's fair to blame Petrov for all the attacking down the left. There's another player who plays there too, the LEFT BACK, who seems shit and yet because he shouts a lot at Petrov, people seem to think he's flawless.

Not too long ago people were crying out for flair players - that's what we have now. What we DON'T have is a left back good enough to allow for a flair left winger.

c'mon - we'd have all been thrilled if Coyle had spent the summer signing up full-backs!

No-one thinks he is flawless though. I'd like to see us try Gardner and Petrov, however there seems to be a lot of talk that Ricardo can't play there regularly. If that is the case then Robinson is the best left back we have, whether or not he is shit. In that case Petrov cannot play in front of him. More goals have come from us being shit defensively down that side than from us being brilliant going forward.
