Doubt Kevin Davies will leave. If he does, Reo Coker hands down.BWFC_Insane wrote:If Davies leaves in the summer, and assuming he stays, Ricketts should be club captain.
Absolute legend in my eyes. Looking for senior pros to help the kids through today and Sam, Petrov and NRC didn't let us down.
Si Deus pro nobis, quis contra nos?
Re: The Match Against Blackburn Rovers
Ricketts was great today. But NRC would still be my choice for captain tbh. Reading that guardian piece from yesterday probably sums up why.
Anyway, today...
We put in a lot of effort. A lot. At times it wasn't pretty but it worked. Blackburn were poor for the majority and couldn't defend set pieces for toffee.
Petrov my Motm. If Davies, Ngog and Prat-trick could head a ball we would've coasted, his deliveries were superb. Tracked back very well too and just looked so hungry for the ball. Bogdan let himself down with his collecting, but I was impressed that he still had the confidence in himself to still come for the ball afterwards.
But as has been said, can't fault anyone in a white shirt today.
I like saying the word today, apparently.

over 20 crosses by Mr Petrov today AND tracking back & looking to win the ball.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Just watched OC's post match interview. Really bizarre creepy bit where he turned to the camera and spoke to Muamba via TV. Unsettling!

I just like Ricketts'' attitude.
And do we still not have a team captain role and club captain role?

PROUD BLACKBURN ROVERS FC....THE MOST SUCCESSFUL TOWN CLUB IN THE UK
Re: The Match Against Blackburn Rovers
Agreed, Ricketts is a good advert for the club. Was really impressed by the media work he got through whilst out injured. Always speaks eloquently and thoughtfully which is a rare thing. A real asset to the club, especially given his versatility on the pitch

Blackburn fans were great on the whole today thanks for that. One or two idiots singing stupid things like, but get that all the time I guess.

Re: The Match Against Blackburn Rovers
Best thing about today for me was the effort. Everybody looked well up for it; really commendable after a hellish week. Bit iffy at the last quarter, but they were chasing it and we were holding on for the points. At times we played some really decent football and Mark Davies, Ryo and Petrov were really taking it to them. More a cup game than a league one,but all our games are cup games now. Well done the lads.
Oh, and Liverpool, what a fcuking shower.

What on Earth was played over the PAS when the first goal went in by the way?

Dropped bloody everything for about 70 mins...
Great win though.

Re: The Match Against Blackburn Rovers
Since we love stats when we win
M.Davies 33/34 passes made successfully.
Wheater a mammoth 20 clearances.
NRC both match highs of 7 tackles, 6 intercepts
Mauro Formica, 65 minutes, 5/5 passes made, 3 times he was disposessed. Well done young man.

Re: The Match Against Blackburn Rovers
Formica's was the most anonymous performance I have ever seen.
Sooooo bad. They were gash though. Don't think Pedersen had more than two touches in a row other than when taking throw ins. Touch, and nice person.

Petrov did exactly the same. General interview where he looked up, down, across etc., then when it came to wishing Fab well he looked into the camera.Prufrock wrote:Just watched OC's post match interview. Some media trainings been going down this week I think

Ricketts did well but I was a little shocked at his free kick at the end of the game. I don't know what that was about.Verbal wrote:Ricketts was great today. But NRC would still be my choice for captain tbh. Reading that guardian piece from yesterday probably sums up why.
