If it were red stripes on white sleeves I'd agree, but red on blue sleeves wouldn't work IMO.

Mmm. I was just distraught the long sleeve one didn't have those little holes for cuff-links.

No. Whilst easy to do and cheap, biro numbers aren't easy to see from the stands. A Sharpie would be much better, and I could be right in saying it won't smudge in the rain. Interestingly, what would your white tshirt be made out of? Again would be a factor in what sort of pen you could use.
