Extended highlights. We played well in the second half. Still amazed/bemused by Alonso's transformation – he looks class.

Don't go if it upsets you that much, or are you one of those who thinks that the only opinion that counts is yours? Perhaps you should have a word with that bloke who's in love with the club. Maybe he'll lend you his 'World's Greatest Supporter' badge.

Didn't he get about 10 minutes in a game that we were chasing?

It's nice to see you've already made your mind up about him based on that tiny cameo. Today, he was tricky, direct, willing and pacy. Final ball key him down a couple of times and once or twice he kept hold of the ball a bit too long, but I'll put that down to keenness to impress. It was a decent first start and I'd start him again no problem in the next game.
More 20, but I'll live.

meh, saw him today as well. Just seems exactly like Weiss was.

Happy to be proven wrong, though.
he closed down more than weiss

he has more physical presence than weiss

he got his body inbetween the ball and the opponent

why are you comparing him with weiss?
because his attacking play is essentially a replica.
I think it's a fair comparison. Was the sort of attacking performance the know-nowts in the east lower love. 'He's got skillz, him'. Head down, beat two out of three and win a throw-in so folk think he's ace, but if he'd got his head up he could have made a five yard pass and we'd be in a good position. He was certainly less wank than last week, but he couldn't be that bad again. I said last week he could be trying too hard, and it's defo possible, but given he's only here for a month we haven't really got time for that. He's another with lots of ability but seemingly no brain.

Better than our other options who have no ability and no brain. He wasn't just winning throw ins though. He was getting shots away, pinning the defender back, stretching Burnley and winning set pieces.

If you think he's shit based on 20 minutes at Watford, perhaps you shouldn't be so quick to criticise the "know-nowts in the east lower"

There's a guy behind me who was going apeshit about the subs and saying they'll do feck all when they came on. He didn't celebrate either goal and I thought, "I wonder if that's BL3".

This is spot on. Anyone who can do a fancy little flick with the ball automatically becomes brilliant with some fans De Ridder got into a few decent positions yesterday but instead of doing the sensible thing, he messed it up because he wanted to be fancy with it. Like you, I think there's a chance that he's trying too hard but if this is what he's capable of, he's a very limited player. He showed absolutely no footballing intelligence yesterday, which is worrying. For all his effort, there seemed to be very little ability.

I'm not going to write him off though. Maybe he wants to come here, so is looking to make a big impression? Or maybe he was nervous because it was his first game at the Reebok? I don't know. Hopefully he improves.

Allowing Petrov to leave was a poor decision, I think. I know you have to factor in his wages but he looked good for Espanyol the other week. We are so short on the wing. We don't even have a left footed winger in the squad, apart from Wylde, who none of us have seen.

I don't think he is shit based on 20 minutes at Watford. I said he was shit at Watford. That's clearly not the same thing. Don't get me wrong, he was better than Eagles yesterday, but that wasn't hard.

It certainly makes a change to see somebody direct, but I was screaming at him to pass it at least four times in the first half. He was far from our worst player but folk talking about an amazing performance and him being our best player are talking bollocks.

And he got one shot away. One which was so bad the ref assumed it must have been deflected and so gave us a corner :D.

D-Pratz got shots away!
