Haha, I was thinking he may have been unfit in the pie-eating sense. If that was the case of course he should definitely be running around with the U21's a long time agoEnoch wrote:Just so long as you're not one of them there Trotter bashing types!Armchair Wanderer wrote:Sorry, didn't realise he was injured.Enoch wrote:Your point being?Armchair Wanderer wrote:In the pre-match for Brum did I imagine NL saying Trotter was playing with the U21's to get fitness?

I'd like to say Trotter will be a wonderful addition to the U21's. Although I'm not sure they deserve him. Our loss is the U21's gain.Enoch wrote:Just so long as you're not one of them there Trotter bashing types!Armchair Wanderer wrote:Sorry, didn't realise he was injured.Enoch wrote:Your point being?Armchair Wanderer wrote:In the pre-match for Brum did I imagine NL saying Trotter was playing with the U21's to get fitness?

So he said. If he can get him to be an average Championship footballer I think it'll be on the plan after the stages called "feed 5,000", "turn water into wine" and "rise from the dead".
The names he mentioned. On that list have a ring of "Could've been a contender" about them.

Complete made up, lazy journalism.
As Will-the-White said "The Daily Mail ? Don't believe one word they publish !"
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

This was Will at his most unprincipled - the editor of the Mail said this in total confidence to his deputy. Harrumph!

This rumour looks more solid (and sensible):
http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wa ... _/?ref=mac
Hooper's record with Scunthorpe (at Championship level) is worth noting: 35 League games 19 goals.

Except that he joined Norwich, from Celtic as a Premiership club and while he may not be on the giant wages of some he'll still be beyond ours.EverSoYouri wrote:This rumour looks more solid (and sensible):

Worth a try I suppose but I'm surprised Norwich aren't using him.

Re: Rumour has it.............
Iles has tweeted that he's heard from within the club that the Hopper story is true. Wanting him and getting him are quite different things though. I can't imagine why Norwich would want to let him go (especially to promotion rivals)

I don't think we should be that surprised if Lennony does bring a couple of his old muckers in - and I wouldn't be that surprised if it turns out that we have promised him a little bit of leeway (not Megson or Coyleesque!) in the transfer market...
He'll still have to wheel and deal (hence loan-talk) - but I'm also hoping that he has some "pull"...
Re: Rumour has it.............
Anthony Stokes is the other one whose name is being linked...
his stats make interesting reading...
in England:
0 goals in 12 appearances for Sheff Utd
1 goal in 13 appearances for Crystal Palace (don't worry - it was pre-Dougie!)
in Scotlanceistershire:
14 goals in 16 appearances for Falkirk
22 goals in 40 appearances for Hibs
55 goals in 121 appearances for Celtic
hmmm.....
