so do I - but I'm not saying either. My lips are sealed... zip! 8)
To be fair he updated the story on the website. Eddie has agreed to reduce some of the debt he is leaving in the club. Which is nice. Still need league to sign it off today but they won't promise that is going to be the case.
nice try - but my lips are sealed - I DO know - but I'm not telling!

Eddie Davies should pay the £3M tax bill - it was accumulated under his ownership. If he's trying to get SS to pay this whilst pocketing the money from the car park sale then he's out of order.

Hmmmm........ looks like the next 48 hrs. are going to be crucial.

actually - looking at it again - that article says they are trying to get it all done by "close of play" today.... (I'm never quite sure when "close of play" actually is!)

Allegedly, according to one of the erstwhile reporters, the FL don't work weekends...so I reckon we've got another 3 hours to go...with tea and biscuits taking out 30 mins of that at three o clock, sharp.

Potentially big few hours ahead. Takeover has boiled down to single issue - security over debt ED is leaving in. Deal or no deal. #bwfc

Not to worry you or owt, but this is the easy bit....next we've either got to stump up Mr Taxman or convince them that we're not in their words "clearly insolvent", before Monday passes. If we're struggling to convince the FL, who we owe bugger all to and who generally don't want to liquidate football clubs, then we're going to have to play a blinder on Monday...

I thought we had the tax money, but there's now an issue over the "transfer fee", if you like.

I may be wrong - that happens - but as I understand it, the tax money exists, but is being held (up? in escrow?) until the takeover is, er, over.

I thought we had too...but given the way everything's heading I'm not sure whether we still play in white any more...

Aye, I can always call someone a hard nosed business man, for selling my £40m (adjusted down £10m for recent sales/JV's etc.) of fixed assets for £7.5m or a quid depending on your point of view....Proper hard nosed that, it's how these bastards make money.
