So we might just about be starting to see heroes emerge, even if reluctantly, and late, and with a long way to go.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 11:40 amYes - they have security over the hotel. I think that will change. His is the only quote on record (and is likely to stay that way given EDT/James's shyness) so it's what journalists will build initial stories around. Hopefully more will become clear. On the Beeb, which is still fairly awful at "reflective" news pieces, expect some thundering nonsense from Phil McNulty at some point in the next week.Jim_McDonuts wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 11:45 amBastard in control of media story:

Right, help me out here. Cunty Ken is saying that he and the EDT are both vying to put the club into administration, so where's HMRC in all of this? I thought that they're the main drivers behind trying to force admin?

May the bridges I burn light your way

LOV (SuperWhiteSmurf in court):
"In summary. Fildraw (Eddies Trust) have requested a statement of intent to put BWFC into administration. Note that the does not mean we are in admin att. Basically 10 working days to sort an administrator out. Or solvent sale (unlikely in extreme).
For hotel, Prescott rep meant to state that Ken Anderson has requested a statement of intent to put Whites hotel into administration. Note that the does not mean we are in admin att. Basically 10 working days to sort an administrator out. Or solvent sale (unlikely in extreme)."

Cheers DSB.
...
Has he gone yet?

Ok - I'm gonna guess that once we're officially in admin he's gone
(someone please correct me if wrong?)

As I understand it, HMRC would be happy with liquidation if they get their money. Fair enough - it's all our money too.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 11:49 amRight, help me out here. I would augment your middle bit to say "Cunty Ken is saying that he and the EDT are both vying to make the other pay to put the club into administration". Fildraw (Eddie) have expressed intent to do so, more than Ken did, but it's not there yet.

So now we have another fortnight of wrangling over who puts us in administration to look forward to.
Hopefully, the Davies family realise Anderson's shenanigans this morning mean he won't and they get it over and done with straight away.

...perhaps with some memorandum of understanding from (some or other) potential new owners that they foot the bill, or secure the payments, or whatever. I'm glad I still have a next season to theoretically worry about, but we have to crack on. Nothing is getting any cheaper for anyone, and the longer we leave it the less likely the new owners are to get a return on investment - and therefore, perhaps, the less likely to want to buy...nicholaldo wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 11:52 amSo now we have another fortnight of wrangling over who puts us in administration to look forward to.

Absolutely. The common sense approach here would be for the administration process to begin as a matter of urgency. If there's one thing I've learned during all of this, however, it's that there's rarely any common sense and almost never any urgency...

Who are these next owners?

As I understand it, Mike James (as part of Football Ventures) is now presumably waiting for the hotel to be put into admin by Mike James (as part of Prescott Business Parks). Maybe he keeps ringing up but the line's always engaged...Lost Leopard Spot wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 12:11 pmAh! One final act of cuntery by Ken the snake. Won’t even find admin himself. Eddie would be pretty fecked off, where he still here of course. Hope Ken comes to a fitting end for the villain he is, and soon.

Used to be our regular lunchtime (& often later into the afternoon/early evening) when working/lurking/ligging at the mighty Rob Gretton's Robs Records (above the Hac) throughout the 90's. I still miss Rob - he was a Don, a Gent & a proper Blue

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
Just catching up.
So it seems the scenario where Ken quietly allows the club to slip towards liquidation was quite close to happening? Ken did use Bassini as an excuse to do nothing, he didn't ready Hilary, or told her to stand down, and it needed Moonshift/Michael James to represent us and get us towards admin?
There are no words to describe my disdain for this grinning, mentally deranged waste of space.
Anyway, the key to our continued existence has always been to get the wheel out of his greasy hands and it looks like a tentative step has been taken towards that. Expect him to challenge at each step of the process. The last thing he wants is for a successful, well funded BWFC to rise again.
