What started as a good afternoon of results for us is becoming a bit knife edge as Wycombe and Pompey find equalisers and Peterborough lead 2-0.

Excellent results on the whole. I'd say Pompey are out of contention now, and Wycombe will be with another defeat.

That 5-0 win at Peterborough could be season-defining.

Well yes can’t complain. Derby having a real wobble and they’ve got Ipswich up next - though at Derby.

If you were looking at any concern it’s Peterborough and their fixtures which are pretty favourable. If Derby fire again then it’s a real scrap for the two places.

I think 76 points will suffice. Win our home games and/or get a result or two away and we'll be fine.

That Exeter game will be massive. Coming off a big result either way, probably our hardest game left, maybe out of the play offs at the time. Lose and you've got a quick turn around banana skin at home to a team fighting for their lives. Big couple of weeks.

Reasonable chance we stay top 6 for Exeter now. But I agree. They are in a good run and it looks a very tough game.

Reminds me somewhat of going away to Swindon 3 days after losing the cup final to Liverpool. Players were absolutely exhausted and Swindon really desperate for revenge for the semi and to avoid relegation. Players dug out a 1-0 against most odds and probably without that there was a real risk the season drifted away as legs were tired and injuries started to stack up.

Didn’t play and we moved up to 5th :pissed:

Peterborough look like they‘ve got a bit of momentum now with three wins on the bounce which isn’t ideal, but three out of four playoff rivals dropping points makes for a good weekend.

Wycombe two wins in seven. Derby not so much wobbling as plunging. Good good.

Posh looking decent for now but let’s see. Loads of teams seem to be losing their heads.

Couple of weeks ago we’d be very happy to have been fifth today. Table has more or less equalised, most teams on same games.

Next Saturday it’s Derby-Ipswich, Posh-Oxford, Wycombe-MK sand Pompey-FGR, so I would expect it to tighten up even more. But I’m feeling OK.

I noted that Aimson captained Exeter today and had an assist also. Must be enjoying himself there and will want to prove that we should never have let him go when we play Exeter. Interesting game ahead.

This from Dion Charles in Bolton News. Positive..

I think most outsiders looking at us, would say we've got a good run in, yet we've failed to score at any of the bottom 3 sides in the division. We're still in there fighting but our form will have to improve some if we're going to get into the play off final.

And now Weds are having a wobble as they're losing 1-0 to FGR

Happy today. There's almost no point saying X and Y are big games. Think they're all in that category... :-)

FGR are absolutely tragic, so this is an outrageous result.

Wednesday wobbling is more “interesting” than “exciting”.

But such results do make me think that the play-offs might be wide open. IIRC last year Wycombe only got in very late on - as Plymouth imploded - and then in the semis promptly beat MK, who’d been title contenders into the last week/fortnight and finished their regular season winning 5-0 at Plymouth.

Yeah no team is entirely consistent though right now Plymouth look the least likely to have a big blip and in fairness I think have been probably the under the radar just keep grinding results out team and will reap the rewards of that.

I still think Derby might come again and their manager would always be a concern if they made the play offs as he knows exactly how to nullify teams maybe more expansive than they are.

We have to make the play offs first and that is a challenge now I feel. One I think we should absolutely rise to, But run ins aren't played on paper and teams down the bottom or even with little to play for can spring surprises. Twists and turns a plenty.

I'm still a bit with the Pru analysis that the Exeter game feels very important.
