What is going on with these 3 deals? Were meant to be signed this morning. Can we never just get these deals done and dusted in a straightforwards way? I've already lost my page bet! Hmmmmmph

Boro accept £1.75m Swansea bid for Leroy Lita. Didn't he sign for us?

Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Jacksonville would be more like Blackpool last season imho.
I see Bolton as more of an Atlanta or a Houston. Maybe with our record of taking troubled players and turning them into gold we could be a Cincinnatti or in the past we might have been the hard-hitting team no-one wants to play against like Baltimore.
Ooh I'd love to be Baltimore and maybe we were under Allardyce. Ravens or even the Falcons both are some of my other teams but the Texans. They're like Arsenal, all flashy attack and no defense. 8-8 guaranteed. Bungles like the Bucs are littered with bad characters like Joey Barton and Craig Bellamy so they'd be City before the cash.
The reason I compare Jacksonville to Bolton and the reason I like them is that:
Jags are a well run, small market team, that everyone ignores and misunderstands. They have underrated stars in unfashionable positions - RB, FB, DT, TE, SLB, Special teams. They are fiscally responsible, building methodically the right way through the draft scouting small schools for players of high character only.
In NFL news that might impact upon the Premier League, the Glazer family who own Manchester United and the improving NFL team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in the spotlight. For a few seasons they have apparently been siphoning money off the small market but successful Bucs to finance Scum transfers, wages etc.*
This could be about to stop.
The newly formed NFL CBA has set a salary spending cap of US$127m per year - no big deal about the same. However, it also set a salary floor of US$120m. The Bucs have been skating by spending half that, by far ($25m or so) the lowest spenders in the league. They will now need to spend all $120M so another $59m right away this year.
Speculation in the States is that the bulk of their previous savings have been wasted (imho) keeping United afloat and this means trouble for the Scum. Good riddance. I suggest they sell United to City to be used as a feeder club.
* note all NFL franchises make money.

I can't believe we're not signing anyone and one of our rivals is thriving because it says in the papers that:
Steve Kean reckons he can get Blackburn into the Champions League within four years.
Man they must love that Venky's chicken in Blackburn...six finger lick'n good!

I have made the ultimate sacrifice and solemnly closed my splinter thread in the hopes that it ends the no-transfer curse we now find ourselves under.

Sturridge had a blinder today for Chelsea and apparently Villas-Boas really rates him. I'm starting to think he'll most probably go on loan for the season then rejoin the team, and the starting 11, when/if drogba and anelka get abit 'past it' at the end of the year. Just hope he comes here!

Looks like that Pastore might be joining Chelsea, so i dont know where this fits in with the 'Modric to Chelsea and Sturridge to Tottenham' bollocks that was flying round.

Ganso to PSG
Pastore to Chelsea
they're interchangeable, so I claim the £5
