We are under the cosh big style but still holding valiently. Ref is blind as well as Spanish and they're getting all the decisions. Our attacks not doing too well and we need to get a grip. Forlan fires over again from 25 yds and Jussi watches it without trouble. It's all them as they win another corner as OB saves the day. Goal kick as Reyes fires wide, but it's a free to us for offside. Jussi getting the boos as he takes his time. Throw us, halfway, cleared long and Jussi gets. Mads again, but Joey clears and orange-wellies gives a blatant foul away. Their throw on 77 mins and they get stopped by Cahill, but keep the ball. Jussi make an easy save and feeds Hund, Campo, Diouf, and Hunt gives it them back. Hunt heads behind for a corner. Jussi gets it comfortably and our attack gets stopped. Forlan comes and gets a corner. Cahill clears but back they come. Screams for a penalty as the Mads get a corner. Ref passes to us and Diouf gets a stupid yellow for reacting to a harsh tackle. Stuoid, stupid, stupid. ....Another sub for us.....it's.... Meite the mighty, but they won't let him come on. Davo hits Diouf, Campo, OB, and we get a throw on their box. Ooooh, Davo gets a card for timewasting. Campo, Davo, and its a Mad throw. Meite still waiting and will replace Joey O, as Davo gives em a dangerous free. ...............Meite on...five to go.........corner to Mads off a deflected shot. Goal kick us. This is twitchy time.

Three mins to glory. Come on Whites. Free to us, Campo to Diouf and we get a corner. Goalie gets it at second attempt and Meite loses out and it's cleared. They come again and Chaill clears, Nolan feeds Meite and Davo wins a throw for us. Three mins extra as they win a throw. Jurado tries it on in the area and their goalie appears in our box. COME ON YOU WHITES.. WE SURVIVE ANOTHER ATTACK AND GET A GOAL KICK. We are sixty seconds away as Taylor fouls Reyes. Abiati in our box and staying there.. WE ARE THROUGH :oyea: :oyea: :oyea: :oyea:

Yes! At last!

Listening to that rather than watching it was painful, especially the last 20 minutes.

Mission accomplished, better start checking flights to Lisbon...

fan-fecking-tastic (and I only commentated what I heard from Deidre) Great night for the Whites. Historical. :oyea: :oyea:

It's not what the radio commentators are saying as well.

"Bolton are snoozing themselves towards the last sixteen"

"Madrid are looking very, very average"

Just two quotes used by them whilst I've been typing this.
They've been very reluctant to acknowledge that the home team's ineffectiveness may just have something to do with the other team.
Well - 5 live have not

Kevin Gallagher has been praising the defence / organisation all through

Madrid didn't play well because they were not allowed to.

To my untutored ear it sounded as if Cahill and AOB were immense above all

Was 5live that I was listening to and quoted.

Gallagher was fulsome in his praise of the defence.

I was listening to 'em too and, particularly in the first half, the commentators (as opposed to analyst Gallacher) seemed to content themselves with blaming Atleti rather than praising us

Anyway, bugger it. They all laugh at us; they all mock at us; they all say our days are numbered...

Search of the web suggests Blackburn game is on ESPN(Asia), which seems to be available on TVAnts. Sorry can't be more definitive at this time

Aye, me too. The Sopcast packed up after 75 mins so I went to the official site. Load of crackpot comments, rugby scores, F.A Cup latest and absolute drivel of a commentary. Should be sacked the pair of them. Why does Dearden get so fxxking excited whenever the opposition score?
