Fat Sam, sacked.
Re: Wanderers v Hillbilly Banjo players
Big Sam has left the building.
Here's hoping those Indian owners are behind it, trying to influence who plays and the tactics, a la Roman.
I would LOVE IT if they treated Jackburn as their little plaything, and then left the club in turmoil
And, if you're reading this Jackburn fans, can you pleeeeeease stop telling the rest of the country how amazing your support 'for a town the size of ours', as you've had the Ribble Valley glory-hunters backing you since uncle Jack came along.
WHHHIIIITTTEEEEEE AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRMMMMYYYYYYY

Is that a bit like saying "told you?"BWFC_Insane wrote:Obviously my info is pretty inaccurate!Worthy4England wrote:There's been trouble brewing on the horizon with them since Allardyce was appointed. Have a read of this article - bear in mind that the writer is shit - http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/philmcnulty/ ... _he_d.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And there is potentially trouble brewing for him on the horizon there.
And then you'll be able to say "Told you"..
75 matches at 1.32 ppg, isn't too shoddy, on bugger all transfer budget.

We'll only find out when a cleaner from Blackburn comes on, asking for Coyle's agent's contact details....

Blackburn and Sheff United are looking for a new manager, probably West Ham soon, plenty of places for Meggo to pop up in

The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

I - with reservations - loved what Sam did for our club... I - with reservations - hated what Megson did...
I wish both success with no problems... hope they do well on every occasion that doesn't involve us...
Grudges weigh too heavy, I can't be arsed picking them up, that is if they don't come in red from twelve miles south or are named 'Everton'...

Couple of points. No way was Holden's foot high. He pulled out of it, and the rule has fook all to do with high foot anyway. It is 'playing in a dangerous manner', not 'Michel Salgado being a poncey girl and assuming their will be some play of a dangerous manner', which is what Clattenburg gave it for.
I'm still perplexed as to how the fook jumping for a header is a booking. You have to jump with your arms, that is how the centre halves and forward sof both teams jumped all game. I can see a foul since he didn't win the header but no way a booking. I actually think he got both key decisions regarding Knight spot on. The first one, Cahill was actually very sharp and instead of trying to help Knight tackle Roberts could see the lanky bugger was going to foul him and so ran straight back into an obviously 'covering' position. Also Jason Roberts? It's never a clear goal scoring oppurtunity! The Knight handball, no matter how often MOTD hacks talk about having his 'arm raised' the rules state 'deliberate' handball and the guidelines state the referee must consider movement of the hand towards the ball, of which there was none, not ball to hand, distance ie unexpected ball, in this case two yards and Zat Knight's eyes closed. THe guidelines even explicitly state 'The position of the hand does not necessarily mean there has been an infringement', ie Knight should not be penalised for being a lanky bastard. However if I was a Dingle I'd be absolutely livid at the Olssen one they didn't get. Holden clearly grabs his arm, and yes he went down easily, but there was a definite foul.
As for SKD. Anonymous first half, poor first 15 second, brilliant last half hour. Some folk seem to think that not suffering for going down to ten men was just about 'spirit'. Like they didn't give a shit before. They went for it, and SKD, for about the 78th time in his Bolton career did the work of two men. Three if you count Jussi.

Fair play, I ain't seen a replay but gut reaction in real time was it was a fair decision.
Re: Wanderers v Hillbilly Banjo players
someone mentioned it b4 - but have just watched the MOTD highlights - and - Robinson completely misses the heap of players on the floor diving right over the top!! the BBC highlights didn't show his landing - just him disappearing through the air screen left!! did the sky cameras show him land?
feck funny!!!

Re: Wanderers v Hillbilly Banjo players
I was sat on the halfway line and Mark Davies seemed to "follow through" with his head, or maybe it was an elbow. The guy seemed to make a meal of it considering he was fine afterwards but from where I was sat I couldn't argue too much about the 2nd yellow. On the whole I thought Clattenburg did ok. Not seen highlights yet either though.
Big Sam took Jones and Diouf off before they got themselves sent off... Mavies had been putting himself about a bit all game, once he got a yellow it was only a matter of time.
