You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

WHAT?? [SPLUTTER] - don't do that to us William!!! KD's going nowhere!William the White wrote:That really, really is the (cliche alert) magic of the FA Cup. At the end Bolton fans hugging each other, shaking hands, shouting, singing, giving SKD a farewell he's never had anywhere before...

Pub player - at fault for the first goal. Not good enough. Like Wheater was also at fault. Two sides to the same conversation. He has no pace. Do I care? Not one bit.
Part of a succesful Bolton side.

His side only conceded one today though.
Clearly we need his defensive know-how back.

Fan-feckin-tastic day out. Was such a nervewracking match - yo-yoing from winning to drawing but ultimately, that's what made the final goal SO DAMN GOOD. Timing was impeccable.
Bolton fans were magnificent and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Magical day and truly proud to be a Wanderer.
Bring on Wembley!

Re: FACup Quarter Final
Fantastic game. Fantastic result and a great credit to the players and the coaching staff that they've been playing so well. Both teams going at it, the two Birmingham goals came out of nowhere really. We looked shellshocked after their substitutions but we went in at half time and we came out much the better. Wonder goal by Kevin Phillips (he's got a nasty habit of scoring against us) but aside from that we looked to be by far the better team.
All the strikers played their part today. Nice to see Elmander getting back on the scoresheet with a cracking finish, thats the predatory instinct we know he's got. Klasnic with a quality flick (he just seemed to be trying unselfishly to set others up today which seemed strange but it worked). Kevin Davies definitely upped his game today. The hassling and harrying to get our second goal and what a quality bit of awareness for the third.
We're off to Wembley!
p.s. credit to Robinson for a cracking bit of awareness and delivery at the end.

SKD was absolutely top notch today, I don't think he missed a header.Mar wrote:Fantastic game. These highlights are a bit better than others I've seen http://www.footytube.com/video/birmingh ... ov_vidgrid" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Watching us go mental at the third goal still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!

More heart than most. But limited as a footballer.

Its perfectly plausible that W4E was describing Megson, and the quote was actually right!Worthy4England wrote:Possibly - if so apologies.truewhite15 wrote:Wrong quote??Worthy4England wrote:No pace and marginal positional sense,William the White wrote:Sir Nut was right after all....Lord Kangana wrote:His side only conceded one today though.

Re: FACup Quarter Final
Just got back home, been on it since 9am, brain feels like a shrivelled conker inside my swede - what a day, what a game. Just spent the last few hours talking about what we'll do when we get to Wembley, it doesn't even feel real I could never have imagined this a year ago.
I need to lie down

Mea culpa. When the reference to one side was made, I assumed it was a reference to Bolton's left side...Sorry.
