there is another solution... don't search the internet for player interviews - and if they are linked - don't read them... that one is entirely in your control!BWFC_Insane wrote:To be honest I'm sick of them saying 'we will put it right next week' they've been saying that for what 9 months now?thebish wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:If his training is so fantastic then why are you conceding so may soft goals then Knight?
Either Coyle is a bit shit, or you are an overpaid, pampered, shit who deserves to be taken out and shot like the lame limp dicked soft shite lump you are?
So come on Zat which of those is it?
yeah... we all realise it's a bit shit - but, seriously - what do you actually EXPECT the players and the chairman to say when they are interviewed??
maybe you should go on one of those them there media studies courses - it'll sort out a lot of confusion!
If I hear one more time how nice Coyle is.....
In Knights case though, I think hed be best advised to keep his useless trap shut.

Nah did get a bit giddy when we last finished the heady heights of 13th. Cant see that happening again anytime soon!jaffka wrote:You probably need more going on in your lifeBWFC_Insane wrote:So I'm meant to be happy about 4 league wins since April?jaffka wrote:the stuck record returns...BWFC_Insane wrote:If his training is so fantastic then why are you conceding so may soft goals then Knight?

must be miserable in your household...
Christ sakes.
And your point would be more relevant if I've always been negative and 'miserable' about Bolton. But clearly that has not been the case.![]()
Oh and I do remember reading about you being ecstatic once, I think it was when we lined up with McCann on the wing...

so - you were joking?BWFCi wrote:But if he'd said it about Blacks, Jews or Muslims then he'd be censored. And rightly so.
What he said was pretty silly, even if in jest. And I'm not sure being grossly offensive to large groups of people whether in jest or not is acceptable. If he'd said "I don't agree with them" thats one thing saying "I'd have them shot" or whatever, is going too far even as a joke in my book!

Re: Cold Mashed Spuds v Bolton (the official match thread).
Meanwhile, back on thepitch:
Much as I always try to be an optimist there are some things about our play that constantly pxss me off. Our idea of positional defending is one of them. Man mark the opposition (of which only Muamba seems to have a clue about) and it might stop their wingers constantly be in space and scoring positions. Steinnson in particular is constantly dragged inside leaving somebody clear and coming in at the back post, and getting in each others way is a way of life at the back. I also believe our defenders are getting a phobia about tackling at all due to fear of getting carded. Few, if any, defences constantly back-off en-masse as we do, sometimes faster than Blackpool tide, when faced with a ball passing side, yet every time one of our players gets the ball in the opposition half somebody's on them like a terrier with a rat and there's always a couple more around anyone with the ball.
One central defender with a sweeper, two full-backs and two defensive midfielders in the old half-back positions, right and left, still leaves four players to hold a line forward, wide and central and stop the opposition being so keen to get everybody forward and pen us in. They wouldn't be quite so keen to do that if our clearances had options other than bang it up to a lone striker who's always outnumbered. Anything's got to be better than something that obviously just isn't working.

Re: Cold Mashed Spuds v Bolton (the official match thread).
Couple of things from an office with more than one Spurs fan (luckily I don't brag in the good times so I'm not trashed in the bad). Firstly, none of the Spurs fans sat near my ST-holding colleague thought it was a red; reaction was mystified stares and gift-horse high-fives.
Secondly, none of the Spurs fans sat near my ST-holding colleague knew what the f*** Coyle was doing removing Muamba, who'd been (their opinion) "your only decent player bar Eagles". Red cards Coyle can hardly help; tactical decisions are his responsibility.
I expected defeat in this game (and guessed 4-0 in the office prediction league) and I'm told that we looked far from hopeless but I'm getting a bit sick of the repetition. I can cope with this loss, and the early-season ones against other clubs with far more money than us, but they're all going under the same "L" as the winnable games against Everton, West Brom, Swansea, Sunderland and Norwich, and only three of those ended with us a man light. If going gung-ho means you never draw, you have to win occasionally. Like I say I didn't expect it this weekend but next Saturday's home game with dourly defensive Villa smells of last-chance saloon - not usually a good place for an outlandish teetotaller.

One other thing: well done to Jussi for saving nine of Spurs' 12 shots on target. Meanwhile, Ali Al-Habsi was saving three of Arsenal's seven. Hmm.

Re: Cold Mashed Spuds v Bolton (the official match thread).
They'll probably ban him for two games now the useless cnuts.
Seriously, I think they'll repeal it but ONLY because Luiz happened on the same day. Otherwise we'd have failed. Mainly coz Gaz doesn't play for the big-boys yet.

You mean 4 games? Isn;t a straight red a 3 match ban, regardless of the nature?

Re: Cold Mashed Spuds v Bolton (the official match thread).
For violent conduct yes, for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity it is one. (I think technically, the red card itself is one, plus the 'violence' is an automatic extra two added, or more if you do a Ben Thatcher).
