Hooper is a good striker.

However, someone mentioned in another thread how we all got a bit pissed off with Coyle and Dougie offering 'jobs for the boys.'

So, I'd rather not see Lennon go in for an old chum.

*Unless he's recently been top scorer for clubs in both the Premier League and SPL. Then I will allow it.

Exactly that. I'd say that there's a world of difference between going in for Hooper and going in for the likes of Moxey, Garvan, and Coyle's mate that was apparently good to have around the place.

It was telling that in a recent interview before the Brum game, Lennon said that he hadn't talked to Thommo for a couple of years, presumably since Thommo "left" Celtic.

If I remember correctly, Tommo and Clark were mates way back at Newcastle. They were in the same car crash that left Tommo with a back injury that set back his career progress and still affects him to this day.

Bannan's a decent player. Not world-threateningly brilliant, but we could do with a lefty, especially if CYL's in the centre.
