It worked for Nathan Shelley. Kit man at AFC Richmond before getting the managers gig at West Ham

Fair play to him.

It’s nearly morning.
In all seriousness, I guess there could be a conversation tomorrow. Or maybe that’s hope.

He won't be sacked.
His answer to Dearden's question after the final whistle was not the answer of a man who feels heavy pressure from above.
We'll just have to lump it, and I'm not referring to style of play.

When their season ticket sales are non existent in the summer I wonder what they do?nicholaldo wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 1:09 amHe won't be sacked.

You get rumours when things are awful on the field I know but if the talk that Sharon has got bored with it all and there is a funding black hole for next season is true then it explains inaction but doesn’t justify it. Can’t help but feel putting Evatt ahead of the club its future and the fans and town will end up being one of the most disgraceful decisions anyone at this club has ever made.

Re: The ianevattable sacking
If the spineless chairman & board won't tell him that his time here is done, then its up to the fans to join together and force him out then the board will have to decide whether they back Evatt or the fans - we absolutely don't just have to put up with it, he's lost the fans and the majority of fans now want the manager out and if they just continue to moan but do nothing and continue put up with it, then they are as bad as the board.
It's shambolic at the moment, it's completely stale and leaderless from top to bottom. Evatt simply doesn't know how to get his team, his signings to play his way - a non existent weak midfield 2, numerous aimless long balls to Charles & Victor, it was alarming how poor the team were set up yesterday. Evatt yet again knew that Wigan would press us high to stop us playing but the players didn't have a clue how to counter it. The fans can all see it and turn up knowing what's going to happen but the manager and coaches are incapable of doing anything about it. Evatt's tactics and style of play has been worked out by rival managers, we are easy to play against & he's had plenty of time to change his approach but he either won't or he can't.
Also, once the manager starts falling out with the fans as Evatt did yesterday with his 'disrespectful comment' it's normally time to go as there is no coming back.

Yep. Blokes a dick. And if the players Christmas party ended with them all drowning in the deansgate locks I wouldn’t miss any of em either. Spineless tossers.

Gary O Neill is available. Yes please. Long term one though. Not a quick fix.
Re: The ianevattable sacking
Not sure he’d jump at the chance to drop down two divisions, and he’s probably keen to take Christmas off before starting something new.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 12:06 pmGary O Neill is available. Yes please. Long term one though. Not a quick fix.

Maybe we should get him, he knows how we setup and play.
Who would’ve thought Buckingham would be sacked before Evatt. Crikey!

Blimey. You've been fairly consistent in wanting an experienced manager in. O'Neill is hardly that is he?BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 12:06 pmGary O Neill is available. Yes please. Long term one though. Not a quick fix.

I said it depends. If it’s go up this season at all costs with what we’ve got we need experience - someone who knows how to get out of the league from a crisis.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 2:24 pmBlimey. But if it’s a longer term rebuild then I think it’s different. Which is why I said O’Neill would be a longer term sort of option. Would need a chance to build a side.

Re: The ianevattable sacking
Having caught MotD this morning and see Ipswich score of a free header from a corner I’m not sure o Neil is what we need. Having said that I’d swap this tosser for Mrs o Neil at the moment.
Re: The ianevattable sacking
We’re not going to get Gary O’Neil.
Re: The ianevattable sacking
He's not going anywhere is he?
I think I've given him as much hope as I can however them players yesterday were shitting themselves at kick off. His surprise that they're doing it over and over is the issue as nothing has changed. We'll probably do enough to get into the play offs but they'll for some reason get stage fright.
Got to wonder what is being said?
They clearly weren't sent into the Wigan game with the "feck the result, get into em, show them that this is Bolton Wanderers"
There's a video of the minutes before kickoff and Johnston looks like he's been told lose this and the family dies.
