We're talking like it's a done deal. Is it a done deal??

I think most newly appointed managers these days are given a script to follow by the media team with some key points. If.....IF we get an announcement, I'm betting "18000 ST holders for a League one club" and "JJ Okocha" come into the mix.

He's a Scouser, so we won't be able to tell if he's saying Okocha or clearing his throat!

I understand jmjhb is our man on the inside (or perhaps not the man/woman himself, but a man who is in contact with said person on the inside).

The Internet is getting excited that the floodlights are on, like it's a sign from the Vatican.

When in fact it's just that the groundsman lost his keys this afternoon.

Doesn't matter. If contracts are signed and clearances given then announcements don't matter.

Would be very Bolton for one our lads to be out for 6 months after he gets tripped and finds the yale with his knee.

I've noticed the Wanderers fans high-fiving each other that Vic might be injured, and saying anyone who likes him must be an Evatt fan.

I've not seen any of that, but I have rather a lot of people muted for just that reason.

Back-to-back wins with Vic playing well in both, must be good news he's hurt :conf:

He was very good on Tuesday too. I mean we know his limitations but he will be a big loss if he’s out.

Just never agreed with the thinking, if that's not too grand a term, behind "Hooray! Our player's injured!"

Even a player you don’t rate or like I don’t see why you’d want injured.

I mean his movement was top on Tuesday. I think the way we played suited him. He was also unlucky a couple of times that things didn’t quite come off.

Add in to all that that Vic is one of the nicest lads you'll ever meet.

Vic and Collins will do for me as a partnership for the rest of the season. Hope the big man’s available for Saturday.

Yep. What we need though is adequate backups or alternative options. I guess we will add one that can do what Vic does. I hope McAtee comes good because I doubt we will sign a Collins backup.
