I'd love to know how he was sold the club by gartside and davies. The pre match video he looked, frankly, ill. I'm actually feeling sorry for him now. Lack of experience (lennie lawrence has been fecking useless) and sold a dummy.

Still get rid but let feck phil pick another disaster? Narrr. Should of got mick mccarthy in at the time. Coyle I agreed with, but we should of sacked him 12 months earlier. Megson was picked by gartside and megsons fecking agent and sammy lee was ridiculous- we were a top 10 premier league club and needed a sensible appointment.

I'd rename this thread Gartside out then Freedman out if I could. Charlatans.
Thats, give or take, about where I'm at.

We can reel off a list of bad things that happened to this club, but the truth be told, its not even the f*cking off of Allardyce (kind of inevitable sooner or later in football), but the piss poor appointments thereafter that really screwed us over. And we threw money at the f*ckers too!

We have turned the corner and things are going to get much better.

Duggie is going to play more attacking. 8)

People will start to realise soon just how efficient and stylish we are and stop worrying about unimportant things....like the ball.

You can't judge a team this early in the season. Shall we get rid and get Paul Ince in? He must be ace because Blackpool are top of the league.

Getting silly this forum now.
Still think the same Chris?

Okay, I'm going to try to be positive...*takes deep breath*

Two of the four teams we've played are currently the top two in the division and, of those, we're the only team to have taken a point off Forest so far.

And......

Okay. I give up. Some bugger else have a go.

That assumes they're top because they're good, not just because they've played us :D!

Do I feck! (heads towards I was wrong thread) Although we are a season further on now. I wish we had binned him back then!

At the time it was a bit quick for me. We hadn't given him enough time to royally feck us up. He had only partially fecked us up ;)

not sure this is a candidate for the wrong thread. it is still perfectly rational and possible to have been right to think that sacking him after 5 games would have been too hasty.

Using that interpretation when would anyone be wrong - you make a judgement at a moment in time and reflect on it with the benefit of hindsight at another (ad infinitum). Surely only subsequent events support (as far as they can) whether you were right or wrong in that judgement, however rational you thought it was at the time .

to say after 5 games - dougie is clearly ace and will take us to glory - that would have been a candidate for the wrong thread...

to say after 5 games - I think it is too early to sack him - nahhh - you can quite correctly have said that (cos it was too early) and then a year later - decide that enough games have now passed in order to make that judgement.

perfectly reasonable and ordinary.

Ah, the nice philosophical distinction between making a good choice and making the right choice. The former has to be based on what you know at the time, whereas the latter only becomes apparent later. (cf Unions backing Ed not Dave...Miliband, that is).
