Thats a good idea. I'm sure our experience against Liverpool stood us in good stead against Reading. After a shaky start, we knew we were there to do a job, not for a day out. I really believe it made a difference.

they're welcome to the online poll cup if they want it - I want the real thing...
(plus - isn't it a bit premature to think vote whether we might win it - when we're not even in the final yet? getting ahead of themselves I think... a jinx on their club!)

By suggesting they're jixing themselves, it works as an anti-jinx!thebish wrote:adamworthy2002 wrote:http://tv.espn.co.uk/gb/espl

ahh - but suggesting we are doomed because of an anti-jinx is a double anti-doom-jinx - and, basically, means we're dooomed.HMX wrote:By suggesting they're jixing themselves, it works as an anti-jinx!thebish wrote:adamworthy2002 wrote:http://tv.espn.co.uk/gb/espl

With the way Elmo played in centre mid today I'm thinking we should actrully go with
Jussi
Steinsson_Cahill_Knight_Robbo
Lee_Elmo_Fab_Petrov
Klanic_Davies

Nah, Stoke won't be nearly as shit as West Ham
Jussi
Steinsson, Cahill, Knight, Robinson
Lee, Muamba, M Davies, Petrov
Elmander, K Davies
If Mark Davies isn't fit, then God knows.

Well we could do with asking him, because given Cohen wasn't given a run out at 3-0 to help him get a bit more match fit I'm not sure what plan B is!
The infamous 4-1-5 formation?!

Re: FA Cup Semi Final - Wembley
It'll probably be the same team as today but with Robinson returning and Klasnic in for Sturridge.
Re: FA Cup Semi Final - Wembley
We were talking about this today, I just don't think we can start with Klasnic. He is the obvious replacement for Sturridge, but for me he is an impact player and somebody who should be brought on with 20 mins to go to get us a goal.

Re: FA Cup Semi Final - Wembley
Totally tougher task next week and I know Robbo will defend for his life, but after today I hope Alonso makes the bench at least, maybe Roderigo. Praying Mavis makes it to let Elmo play forward with Sturridge missing.

Re: FA Cup Semi Final - Wembley
Klasnic, in fairness, has played a decent part in getting us to Wembley. I wouldn't be surprised, being the striker-lover that Coyle is, to see that rewarded with a game
Re: FA Cup Semi Final - Wembley
I certainly can't see Owen Coyle leaving out Klasnic in the Semi Final match. He's been a revelation in getting us to this stage and certainly deserves his shot in the team. On top of that he's arguably the best finisher we have at the club. Klasnic will get his chance to play, I don't think he will start the game as I think he will be used as an impact sub.
I see it as:
Jussi
Steinsson, Cahill, Knight, Robinson
CYL, Muamba, M.Davies, Petrov
Elmander, K.Davies
However judging on how well Elmander went in his role today I would certainly be up for Elmander in midfield in place of M.Davies, and Klasnic and Kevin Davies up front. (Only trouble is we would have little in the way of striking options on the bench for later on in the game).

Re: FA Cup Semi Final - Wembley
Make no mistake, if Sparky is fit then he should be starting at Wembley, and considering he was supposed to be back 2 games ago, he'd better bloody well be fit.
The only other option that I can see is Elmander in CM, with Klasnic starting up front. Thus, our striking options on the bench would number Rodrigo Moreno, possibly Robbie Blake. Our CM options would be Tamir Cohen, Matt Taylor and possibly Ricardo Gardner.
But, as I said. If Sparky is fit, then it's got to be a midfield of him, Moo, Chungy and Petrov. If he's not, and he doesn't, then substitute him for Elmander. Given the Elm's performance there today, I'm not overly worried about him starting there against Stoke.

I'd play Rodders for sturridge and Robbo for Alonso that would be my changes. We look good with pace up top.
