All conjecture, although through some weird means I knew how much Kevin Nolan was on for his second big contract at Wanderers. As for the current team I would have thought that it wouldn't be too far away from Burnley wage capLeverEnd wrote:How much are our top earners on? Does anyone know or is it just conjecture? Burnley have a 15k wage cap, so he can't be on anything like what our top players are pulling each week? Worth a punt? He certainly knows where the net is.

Avoiding the usual "he can't be if he's signing for us" stuff his history is pretty ordinary.thebish wrote:is he any good?
Lower league stuff, eventually joined second tier Norwich & helped them to promotion,.
Played in the Norwich team in the Prem (including that awful flop when Klasnic leaned into him) & seemed ti be there for keeps but got a groin injury which needed surgery and then lost his place and barely featured in the season just finished.
So, I think "it remains to be seen".
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Think he will be an old fashioned left back who sees defense as his prime function , he has never been a regular scorer at any level. Originally from Bury will should have no problems settling in, I would say a good solid signing and to get him on a free a definate bonus.thebish wrote:is he any good?
Helps solve a problem without having to spend our limited budget on a fee.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Given Alonso moving on to Italy he is better than anything we have, a solid if unspectacular addition will take that as a step forward.jaffka wrote:will do a job, thats it

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Seems like a good signing for nowt. Norwich fans seemed to like him from what I've read.

Are you suggesting he's lacking aerial ability?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Just had a quick look at a Norwich forum re Tierney. Very encouraging responses. None had a bad word to say about him and most were of the opinion that he was a good player for them until he was injured. On his return to fitness he was behind Garrido in the pecking order and rumours that Hughton either fell out with him, or just didnt fancy him.

Any major dude would know there's no static at all on FM. At least here at the western world.mrkint wrote:He's rather static.

I got the news that only a fool in bad sneakers would say that. Now drink your big black cow and get out of here.Enoch wrote:Any major dude would know there's no static at all on FM. At least here at the western world.mrkint wrote:He's rather static.
