I get an impression that they're both trying very hard to fck off...fairly sharpish.Peter Thompson wrote:+10officer_dibble wrote:ED and gartside can fck off for me now like...cheers for the good times but the last 5 years have been a right fck up. And they carry the can.
ED is already carrying a significant can.
Re: Spotty's Seriously Sub-standard Second Rate Transfer Thr
You rather clinically said to me In The Debt thread that Clough will def be gone in Jan to pay HMRC, and for just a few hundred thousand. You were right, but I doubt neither of us expected it to be Bristol City. There's a good chance they'll be playing League One football with us next year.BWFC_Insane wrote:Bristol City. EDIT: And Eddie Davies brought us some good times, but he's also been there during this total disaster. How each supporter remembers him will come down to personal discretion, but everything that is going on at the moment is leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. The club has clearly been badly run.

£3 million apparently but Zach might need persuading (according to M Ilies).Worthy4England wrote:Iles reckons he's going to publish online the "how much" element later tonight...

Why would he go there? I'm not convinced he will. No disrespect to Bristol City but this is depressing.
I expect Clough to go this window but surely he might hold out for better? Unless strong armed out the door I suppose.
What we gonna do next month to pay wages and tax bills when we can't sell players? And the month after that and so on....

£3 million bid for an untried player who's had 2 serious injuries in a very shot career?? Yes thank you. We'd be mad not to take that. I'm staggered by that offer.

I like easy questions, when we can't sell players, we sell assets, when none of either are left (or not enough of either to support us being a going concern), we all have to go and support someone else. Think I'll support Tranmere.BWFC_Insane wrote:Why would he go there? I'm not convinced he will. No disrespect to Bristol City but this is depressing.

Apparently offers accepted for M Davies & Clough our two most creative players - this has to mean that there is no takeover & that the club have accepted relegation and are preparing for the worst.

Not really sure you can say they're not fans. You're a fan, are you paying the clubs tax bill?Peter Thompson wrote:Apparently offers accepted for M Davies & Clough our two most creative players - this has to mean that there is no takeover & that the club have accepted relegation and are preparing for the worst.

That fact that he isn't prepared to bankroll the club anymore doesn't mean he's not a fan. Nor does the fact they've made a litany of errors and fecked it. They are still Bolton fans.Peter Thompson wrote:Do one - I can say what I like, whether you like it or notBWFC_Insane wrote:Not really sure you can say they're not fans. I don't think anybody believed me when I said it was going to be a sub-standard second rate transfer thread. But I did know what I had in store for you, and so I added the 'Seriously'. But even I have been staggered by how fast this has become that seriously shit, seriously.

A club in the First Division is better than no Club in any Division. After all the accusations (most of which have some substance to them) would you rather they took another chance on administration/winding-up or sell what we can to try and retain the Club? I sincerely do hope that they are preparing for the worst, because I haven't seen much evidence of them planning for it so far, they just keep bumbling into the next problem...and it just keeps getting worse.

The problem is there isn't a club without new owners. And the more we sell off the less likely a new owner becomes in my view.Worthy4England wrote:A club in the First Division is better than no Club in any Division. We are just treading water till then. I suspect we can but a month or two but little more.
We aren't going to be here next season if Eddie hasn't sold up.
