Aye last quick man up top for us? Ricketts (pre pies)? Rod Wallace?Tombwfc wrote:This is true. Most pacey strikers we've had since I can remember have struggled with the same thing..... they never get to actually play up front.irie Cee Bee wrote:I think Rodrigo is being played out of position. He is a 2nd striker with the explosive pace, skill and shot to do well there. Better suited in Elmanders position instead of the wing. He is uncomfortable out there and is taking its toll. He was awful yesterday but is a much better player than that.

Just to say thanks MJH for a really lively report...
Where I was the crowd didn't seem anywhere near as negative as you report, though whatever booing (not much in reality) there was was entirely misplaced, I agree...
And spot on, I hope, that this leads to the equivalent of that late equaliser in 2005... turn it round, boys...

well, you know, I wouldn't mind it the other way round from time to time... esp since the implication is the one moment of total despair might be in the first minute...thebish wrote:finlayson wrote:Last night summed up what it means to be a Wanderer....
89.59 mins of total despair and one moment of total, uncontrolled passion and joy!
It's all worth it in the end!
that's exactly it... we wouldn't change it for the world - would we??
Away at the FRS would be good...

duh oh yeah.......we did shunt him out wide a bit though I guessWandering Willy wrote:Anelka?
anyway that goal, no way Davo or Elmo would of been quick enough onto that backpass, so only Sturridge or Rodders would have scored it I reckon.

Spot on there OD. Looking at the replay of the goal as soon as Zubar looks up you can see Sturridge recognise the pass is coming and start to sprint goalwards. Excellent stuff.

Re: Bolton v Wolves
I think CYL could've gotten to that backpass. In fact, I see CYL jump on these kind of passes including his goal against Argentina at the WC in South Africaofficer_dibble wrote:duh oh yeah.......we did shunt him out wide a bit though I guessWandering Willy wrote:Anelka?

Just our loanee / saviour by the looks.
I'd rather support Bolton than be you.
