oh ffs! one minute you piss and whine about him even BEING involved - the next minute you piss and whine about him (allegedly) not being around to BE involved.
He has to be involved as owner. But I'd suggest his location (and it isn't a once a year holiday we're talking here) speaks volumes about his determination to get a deal done.
On Monday the Bolton Wanderers board made a recommendation for the sale of the club. Two days later we hear the owner of the club is in Barbados. Every day counts. If a deal could be put in place it could avoid the sale of players, ensure we get better value for assets, let Ameobi stay for free if the embargo can be lifted with the release of accounts etc etc....

I thought this conversation had been had. It's not like the EA situation and the floods where a physical presence is required as a formality to show respect to victims, nor like a coronation or a marriage where a body needs to be present. This is the modern age, he is quite capable of doing what is needed using modern media from a distance.BWFC_Insane wrote:You know full well what I mean.thebish wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:According to Iles, ED is sunning himself in Barbados.

EDIT: I see DSB got there more succinctly before me.

the other day you were saying he should simply make his desires known to his personal employee, Birch and the board and then stop interfering...BWFC_Insane wrote:You know full well what I mean.thebish wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:According to Iles, ED is sunning himself in Barbados.

presumably that's exactly what he's doing - and for the moments he is needed - he's still wealthy enough to own some kind of fancy mobile internet device and a phone is he not?

Yes, full well what you mean appears to be you're going to carry on posting cobblers until the sale goes through.BWFC_Insane wrote:You know full well what I mean.thebish wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:According to Iles, ED is sunning himself in Barbados.

You've pointed out the he's personally employed someone to work on the deal - ostensibly all he needs to do is sign on the dotted line when it's the right shape. I think over 20 years of putting together large deals (not football related, but significantly larger than the BWFC deal), I've been in the same location as the person that needed to sign the thing off, once. In the whole process, I need them only for that single event and generally to present them a summary prior to that event - usually on a dial in teleconference - to report to them as to whether we've hit the deal performance indicators they were expecting.

Sports Shield very much in the mix on takeover and trust making phenomenal progress. Just need Eddie Davies to make up his mind. #bwfc
@Radixlecti1
Just a reminder. If Sports Shield change mind and battle on, it's down to them.
Even more confused, Sports Shield not 'walking away'?
