Sure Coyle wants him, but Sturridge definitely isn't happening!

Id imagine Coyle has spoken to Villas Boas directly, so if he hasn't completely given up hope (like he did with Jeffren) there must be something going on. Perhaps it depends on Chelsea buying another striker, not selling Anelka/Kalou.

Just to clarify, Samuel Eto?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I'm liking it already.

no .... Sue Eto, the South African.

OC still working on SWP according to Nixon. Liverpool want 4.5m for Ngog - OC wants to pay 3.5m apparently.

State of play as at August 5th (red is injured or indisposed)

Position--starter--backup--3rd stringer

GK: Jussi, Bogdan
RB: Ricketts ,Steinsson, Mears
LB: Robinson, Alonso,
CB: Knight,
CB: Cahill, Wheater
DM: Muamba, Pratley, Savis,
CM: Holden,ReoCoker, Mavies,
RW: Lee, Eagles
LW: Petrov,, Gardner
ST: SKD, Eaves,
ST: Klasnic, Blake

Officially time to panic? 18 fit players. Three starters injured. We have a tough schedule and need a starting striker for sure. Loan magic time.
What could've happened; did.

Alonso isn't injured or indisposed - is he? he's free to play until the trial comes up - date not set yet - could be months off...
