I'd rather we spend the quoted 4 million on a decent striker (not Jerome he is seriously shit) or a larger cash incentive towards another Sturridge loan deal and play Eagles wide right.
To be fair he was waiting on a medical on January 31st. Really wanted to join us then but City said nope because Johnson got injured.

He'd obviously prefer to stay at City because it's the club he supports and has played for x number of years.

We need another winger. We can't go into the season with just, the unproven, Eagles and, the inconsistant, Petrov.

Why make such stupid, sweeping statements when you cannot be certain of any of the facts. As jimbo said he wanted to join in january and as latest reports have it, he is actively searching for a new club (and is prepared to drop his wages to find one) but Mancini is holding up any move.

Think we may have more chance of Anelka back than Sturridge. Sturridge has been getting games and goals preseason unlike Anelka.

The Oracle speaks. Should be an interesting week.

David Ngog desperate to quit Liverpool and join Bolton Wanderers

Aug 7 2011 by Alan Nixon, The People

David NGOG is pleading with Liverpool to let him move to Owen Coyle’s BOLTON in a deal before the big kick-off.

The French striker has met the Kop heirarchy to state his case as he feels his £4.5million valuation is costing him a chance of Premier League football.

Ngog knows that he is only a squad player behind Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll and he fancies a crack at joining Coyle’s attack and playing a lot more than he will on Merseyside.

The speedy forward is so keen that he may even be willing to take a pay cut just to get his career back on track after a frustrating time at the Kop.

Ngog’s wish to move may have to be granted fast as Bolton are in talks with Birmingham for striker Cameron Jerome and close to agreeing a fee of about £3m plus extras.

Jerome has seen a move to Fulham fall through because of price, while Leicester City are also keeping tabs. The Foxes would pay more than their Premier League rivals but the striker wants to play at the top level.

Bolton are in talks with Manchester City for Shaun Wright-Phillips but that will be an expensive capture and depends on what the mega-bucks outfit want for their right winger.

BWFC_Insane wrote:What disappoints me a bit is that having release Elmander and Sturridge and knowing we'd need a striker for all the summer, the most imaginative pair Coyle can come up with, and as yet still not sign, is NGog and Cameron Jerome. Hardly bloody inventive. I was expecting him to pick up a cheapie from Scotland or Europe and perhaps one or two from the lower leagues. His plans seem to be, buy an expensive Spanish kid, failing that get some he's managed before, then go for overpriced shite forwards and offer less than their clubs want.

I'm sure we will be ok cos Coyle is good at getting the best out of players, but so far very unimpressed with his buying strategy. And before someone starts banging about no money, thats even more reason to get players to develop and shop a bit more inventively. Not chase exlpensive underwhelming options like Jerome and take all bloody summer doing it!
Absolutely spot on....

Tell me who's available, wants to come to Bolton and at what cost (fee & wages) and I'll give you an answer.

Owen Coyle will have this information (from agents & other managers) - unfortunately I don't

It's from Fanatix so pen it in! Written by a Davies no less. If you can't trust a Davies you are at the wrong club!

Cahill out = N'Gog in and 32 year-old CB Kyrgiakos in + CASH (not sure if it's Euros or pounds yet).

BTW at 257 pages this thread of TKIIZ's is a DISGRACE! Not only are we not signing players it's crippling the few we do have!

ooooooohhh! Sounds touch N'gog! But seriously for wanting to play here you have to give N'gog his dues.

Had the feeling for a week now that we will end up with Ngog. Not saying it is a good feeling, but the Jerome rumours make it sound much better than the alternative. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it becomes part of a Cahill swap. Let's see if they try to dump another player as well. Don't want the Greek guy. I would rather have more money and buy a defender ourselves.

Brum striker Premier League move in doubt with injury

Cameron Jerome’s dreams of getting back to the Premier League are in doubt – because of a heel injury.

Birmingham City hit man Jerome is wanted by Bolton and Fulham – with Leicester City also lurking – but he may be sidelined for weeks.

Nixon is now on twitter.

He keeps talking about a 'mystery striker' who we are much closer to signing than both N'Gog and Jerome, he's gone as far as to say he's 'talented'. Not much else. Kind of links in with the BN's comments the other day about a mystery striker too.

Elmander back on loan.

Are you sure it's him? If it is, then is it wrong that I'm already hoping for a mystery man over Jerome?

Is a good question.....for the money I think Goodwillie would have worth a punt, but I've only seen small amounts of him and going off what Dundee Utd fans have said, perhaps Coyle doesnt rate him. I like Maynard but would depend on price, same with Shane Long though with a few reservations.

I certainly don't watch enough European football to pick from there, but I'm sure there are some good prospects knocking around.

I'm not saying Jerome and NGog arent the best we can do, but just slightly disappointed we haven't turned up a few for development through games!
