It does all start to point towards Robbie Keane, but I just have a feeling it's not him.

It won't be Keane. Think Nixon said "he wasn't aware of his availability" and it is widely known Spurs want rid of Keane.

By George, I think I've got it.

Diego Forlan. Free to leave Atletico Madrid on a free transfer. Established. Loved by the crowds. Played in the PL in the past.

I know who it is.

I can't say who it is until he actually signs though.

What I can say is that its a striker that you may or may not know, who may or may not be in talks with us as we speak, and he may or may not sign before August 31st.

What I can definitely, exclusively reveal, though, is that it isn't a woman.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Surely LL can tell us .... drinking with all the staff & that.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Clues are:

* "Crowds love him"
* Mature "but young at heart"
* Never played for Bolton before
* Established
* "Wasn't aware of his availability. Nice player. Coyley's type."
* "He can play up top all right"
* "Not financially crippling"
* "Good lad too by all accouts"

The only players I can think of that fit the bill are Jason Roberts and Andrew Johnson.

Now we're talking - absolute quality player, unfortunately there would be bigger & more attractive clubs than us after him if he was available, but for a few hours its a nice thought !!
