Yes and yes
Re: January transfer window...
Thank you EL, for your very speedy response.
This will be an interesting transfer window me thinks, personally I'd have a look at the kid from Palace, Zaha. Think he could be a Coyle 'fixer upper'

Muniain would probably cost upwards of £15 Million. Bilbao are by no means rich, but they're not paupers either. For a club that only has a limited pool of players in which to choose from, they certainly produce some players!

Its hardly a f*ckin snub is it? I prefer Italy to Spain and England, but they're both ace aswell.
Even tiny little Bolton Wanderers gets to wave Sky money around. What we can offer will make the difference (if theres anything left).

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

You know what these websites are like LK, a 'snub' usually means that the player just said another country is 'great'. I'm sure Owen has other targets

Surely these kind of quotes that get released are under the advice of an agent.Suggesting you prefer one country could make clubs from another country feel they need to offer more, keeps the player in the news and reminds others that he's available and good enough to play in the best leagues in Europe.Like someone said above,it's hardly a snub nor a line drawn in the sand.

Pretty much spot on that, it's all a negotiation, we've seen it in the past, we'll see it againIanmooreslovechild wrote:Surely these kind of quotes that get released are under the advice of an agent.Suggesting you prefer one country could make clubs from another country feel they need to offer more, keeps the player in the news and reminds others that he's available and good enough to play in the best leagues in Europe.Like someone said above,it's hardly a snub nor a line drawn in the sand.

Re: January transfer window...
Any opinions on Darren Bent? He has an incredible goal scoring record and is currently out of favour as Welbeck is the new golden boy at Sunderland. However I am aware he would cost alot.

Yes. Too expensive, Massive Charlie Big Spuds attitude, Not intelligent enough to vary playing styles, over reliant on balls over top rather than what we play, can't remember the last time he got onto anything fropm out wide, whether it be as a finish or during build-up play.Gaz Tomorrow wrote:Any opinions on Darren Bent?

Would be a bit pricey for an impact sub and only have impact if we were defending deep and knocking long balls into no mans land which we don't tend to do so much now, thank christ

Re: January transfer window...
I wouldn't go as far as being so derogatory about him - he's a striker that scores goals. However, he relies a lot more on running onto balls coming from behind rather than having ball to feet, knock downs or crosses. His one and only chance yesterday was from a cross, and all he could do was jump and let it hit him.
Good goalscorer, but not suited to us at all. Plus his attitude stinks and he'd be far too expensive.

Tri**lfootbal, bastion of news worth stories runs the Curtis Davies one again. Steve McClaren of Wolfsburg and Wally with a brolly fame also wants him.

No chance in hell of Klasnic leaving. Not with the uncertainty of Elmander's future, and no other back up.
