We're mates with Blackpool aren't we? Shirley they'll just roll over and let us spank them as a favour, no?

Important point indeed ST. Another fantastic night in Hull anyone?? :D
I was trying to post the same as ST re-Hull. Hadn't thought about that though, Bobby Boy. :pissed:
Different ground but that would be nice. Recreate the greatest night of my Bolton supporting life.
And mine :D
It'll be 20 years since that fantastic night, on Tuesday.

Officially we had 20k there but you talk to any Blackburn fan that was there they reckon there were unofficially 35k in the ground that night with 27k Wanderers fans.

If we make the play offs, that is the easy part. Winning them will be harder still!

It's a matter of perspective, the more your expectation is the bigger the depression when it goes tits up. The less you expect the bigger the highs.

surely it's in our hands and we just need to beat Blackpool?? or am I missing summat?
I think so. Assuming Palace wins a game,we beat Blackpool 1-0 and Forest wins 5-0 how does the table stand?

Apologies if this has been pointed out.

We would finish 6th, by virtue of having scored 2 goals more than Forest

Really??? That's depressing as much as it's suprising! I'm not ahsamed to say that as a grown bloke I cried that night........after the pitch invasion and wild celebrations obviously. The words 'Wild with delight' don't quite do the night justice. :pissed:

On another note, I see that one of the Jackburn fans makes mention of us being under the cosh of Leeds fans later in the season after the match at their place. That's not quite the way I remember it. I seem to remember around 300 whites pretending to queue for a bus outside the King George and rushing the Leeds lot as they came out of the Embankment. Massive pitched battle ensued on the forecourt, mounted Police charge, the whole works. I stood at the bus stop as around 9 of their coaches came past. Not a single window in any of them. Grim days indeed.

Would we not be 7th, losing out by 1 goal?

Whoops. I can't add up. For some reason I assumed that our GD would be the same as them. Doesn't bode well for my accountancy exams.

Forest have only scored 3 goals in their last 6 games so are highly unlikely to be free scoring in their last game particularly against a fellow contender. Just to cover myself, they will score 8 and we're all doooooomed

Forest - Leicester will be a nervy, tense affair and a localish derby to boot. Can't see more than one goal in it. It's down to us.

Blackpool have nothing to play for and we have everything to play for. Proud of the lads no matter what the outcome is.

Sky are showing two championship games next weekend. I wonder if they will show our game and the Forest one? Much more exciting than the relegation battle.

Forgot about them.

Have to wait and see I suppose. Not bothered either way really as I will be at the bok. Would be nice for all the Bolton fans far and wide to be able to watch the game though.

Not a chance. It will be the battle for promotion via 2nd place.
