January transfer window...

Re: January transfer window...
He's a cracking player, think he would cost a LOT more than £3m atm though, unless his contract is running down. Petrov had his best game in a white shirt yesterday, but if he were to go anywhere I think it would be there. That fancy attacking freedom we play with.

Blackburn and 3 mil for Adam was on teletext this morning.Weren't we linked with him in the summer. He's certainly a talent and has been in dispute over money ay Bpool.I believe he may be nearing his contract end to hence the 3 mil tag. He'd certainly improve on Petrov or taylor on the left.
Re: January transfer window...
We were linked in HWSNBN time with the club and I think we were quoted as £5m at the time
Pfffft.

Neither is Taylor and I'm not entirely convinced Petrov is anymore. What Adam seems to lack in pace he does seem to make up for in intelligence.I thought I'd seen him playing left midfield, could be wrong of course, wouldn't be the first timeEast Lower wrote:He's not a winger thoughIanmooreslovechild wrote:Blackburn and 3 mil for Adam was on teletext this morning.Weren't we linked with him in the summer. He's certainly a talent and has been in dispute over money ay Bpool.I believe he may be nearing his contract end to hence the 3 mil tag. He'd certainly improve on Petrov or taylor on the left.

He's a cracking playmaker from the middle, and should be played there. I'd have him, but you'd then be needing to reorganise the midfield

This was my point when I said that I didn't know who'd have to make way.East Lower wrote:He's a cracking playmaker from the middle, and should be played there. I'd have him, but you'd then be needing to reorganise the midfield
It may be that Coyle just doesn't need him in our good days, but it'd be one of those "great problem to have" moments.
He is simply a cracking, local, not too expensive player who appears to be available at the right, rather modest, price & we'd be crackers not to be interested.
So .... he'll be off to Everton then !!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Athletico Madrid? They're a team from the 1980s, when British people didn't know the difference between Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao.plymouth wanderer wrote:WHO

Anyway, it's nice to go into a transfer window wondering who might be good, rather than being desperate for help. It's like the difference between going shopping with a full fridge and with an empty stomach.

There's no 'difference', it's a symbiotic relationship...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:Athletico Madrid? They're a team from the 1980s, when British people didn't know the difference between Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao.plymouth wanderer wrote:WHO

Re: January transfer window...
Personally I think Charlie Adam for 6 million is a tad too high. I cant say ive seen too much of him before this season but I worry he could be a one season wonder? Again I never really followed his time in scotland but i'd rather the 6 million, if we could spare it even with selling Matty Taylor, spent elsewhere. Perhaps putting a full bid for Rodgrigo would be an option if he can continue to impress this season.
On a completely different note my old man was saying with Allardyce leaving Blackburn and the new owners throwing there weight about would anyone be surprised to see El Hadji Diouf leave in the summer? Could/Would he come back to the reebok? I dont know where he would fit in with our current set up or if he would be to Coyle's tastes but anything can happen!
